So here's my twin sister's wedding dress, it's not completely finished in this picture and I won't post a pic until her wedding probably.  I'm going to put gold lace around the collar and arms and then white pearls all along the collar and on the bustle too.






This is my sister in the dress and the gold lace is already on the bodice in this pic.  So all that's missing is the pearls.

I should probably mention that her grooms outfit is in bright red, black, and gold.  Which is why her gown has that extra fabric in black that has a gold and red pattern on it.  It's a very colorful wedding indeed!!  hehe

Hello Everyone!  I wanted to show you all some of the pearling I am doing to my kirtle to finish my Spanish that has been languishing for more than 2 years!

So I have redo my bodice top section, Because I don't like the way it looks at the moment

Cilean, that ribbon is so gorgeous.

Concerning the bodice... If you cut away a bit of the "corners" on the neckline to make it wider and squarer, it might give you a more period look. The straps should be very far out on the shoulders, you're not really supposed to carry the straps over the shoulder like in a modern dress. If/when redone, the gorgeous trim would almost be at the arm hole. Though Florentine examples, I think these portraits demonstrate it well:
