Yes, yes I can. But it's best not to do that while driving, as I found out. There are certain sounds and smells that exist out here that make me either stop in my tracks or take my mind back to faire. Mine is campsmoke, sandalwood, leather...ect. Hit me with yours.

This is a very simple little piece I wrote a few years ago.


An Ode to TRF!

For many a month we have all been cold sober

But huzzah, huzzah for the month of October!

When fair maidens, brave knights, pirates and wenches

Don their best garb and tighten those cinches!

For all will be gathering in the lanes of yore

To rekindle old friendships and add sparks to many more!

Bellies will be full with offerings from the pantry

And many a merchant will have favors aplenty!

The mead will be flowing, the keg will be tapped,

The rum will be running, huzzah to that!

A grand time will be had by all this Autumn

As long as the drink does not knock us on our bottoms!

At last all will say we are no longer cold sober,

So Huzzah, Huzzah to the month of October!

Oh, well done!!!  I have the AC cranked just so I can get an early start on that Autumn feeling!    Might have to start on some Faire favors this weekend, after I finish what I'm working on now!

Today is the last day for discount pricing on tickets!

I just ordered mine online.  You do not have to put names on the tickets.  I am not sure, but I would assume discount pricing ends at midnight but can't be sure of the time zone the procesing site is in.

Oh, CRAP!!!  I didn't even think about that!!!  I hope someone will be ordering group rate tickets later on, because I can't even afford them this month...

I'm actually kinda chilly right now, and I've only got the thing set on 72 degrees!  It seems much more efficient than the AC at our old place, so maybe that's finally something positive about this place...    Might need to build a fire soon!  heheh

I have an idea for favors this year, and they will be a lot different than last years, so I'm going to have to figure out what it's going to cost to get them started.  Not anywhere near as much as the last ones, though!!!  

Yeah, last year I got a couple of extra tix someone had because they got a bunch of comps so they just sold the ones they had already bought.  I paid something like $12.95 each, and it was great!  Not expecting to get off that easy this year, but it would be nice...
