Pet peeves and general nsanity

Even better, the person who takes up *4* spots, to make sure no one could possibly touch their "baby."  Bonus points if the car doing this is actually a beater.    Yes, I've actually seen that.   

That bugs me too, and that's funny about the beater. I must say though, if someone has a really nice car I can "almost"  understand it.  Not to say that anyone deserves to get dinged or dented regardless of the condition of their car. Once we had a  71 Chevelle convertible that we had just finished restoring and had a fresh paint job.  Once we were out for a drive and  had to stop off at the store, against our better judgement.  We parked way out in the "boonies" section of the parking lot with no other cars around us or even close anywhere. The parking lot was large enough, and enough space between us and the rest of the cars, that  it was quite obvious that we parked off by ourselves on purpose, thinking we'd be safe. Low and behold,  some a$$hat intentionally parked right next to us and put a nice ding on our fresh paint job!    There was no denying they did it on purpose.

Another peeve is when people don't put shopping carts back in the cart rack, or at least in a safe location, especially on a windy day.

Ok... this is one of the biggest peeves I have ever had, and quite possibly one of the rudest things I have ever encountered. 

People who post snide, snarky comments in the various threads here, or on any forum, about people they dislike, without actually using a name, but in a way, or at a time, that the person it's directed at can't help but know it's about them.  Particularly when it's something they know little or nothing about, or perhaps only know the side of the story they want to believe.  Sorry... I'm speaking from experience, recent even, and if there was a way I could block having to read anything at all from these people, I would have done it long ago!

*hugs Rani*  Can't say I've ever seen that on a forum (have in real life, though), but that is beyond rude and it totally sucks.

I have another pet peeve, that I got reminded of yesterday.  Pedestrians who think they own the street and are oblivious of the cars they are holding up.  Like the people who slowly meander across the street when the light turns, when there is a line of 5+ cars waiting to turn right.  Or, what happened yesterday.  The large group of people who felt the need to slowly walk down the middle of the somewhat long parking lot driveway, despite the fact that I was driving oh-so-slowly right behind them.  From what I could tell, they didn't notice I was there!  And it always happens when you're in a hurry.

Also, since we're venting on this thread, I just need to get this out. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!

Ok, I have just been reminded of another pet peeve..People who are very physically able, who park in the handicapped parking spaces!!! If you do not have the special plates, or the hanging permit...DON"T Park There!!! Walk your lazy arses the length of the 3 extra spaces to get to the door...there are people who are not physically able to walk the distance who can't park now because of rude ignorance!!

OR: (This happened to me yesterday)

Someone decided they had to park in the space between two handicap spaces (the spot that is yellow stripes) and prevented me from being able to get in my suburban, (once I climbed in the back seat and over the center console to get into the driver's seat) and prevented me from being able to back out of the parking space...

Really, what purpose does it serve to be such an inconsiderate moron?

I totally do not understand why joggers insist on running out in the middle of the street in traffic, particularly when there is a perfectly good sidewalk or separated bike path next to the road. For years I lived in a University town where the joggers ran up and down Main Street (which was a one way), despite having many asphalt walkways around campus. I had been told runners jog in the street because concrete it much harder on the feet than asphalt. Just before sunset during the winter, the sun shone directly into oncoming traffic making the joggers almost invisible, a Darwin Award scenario if ever there was one.

Normally I park at the far end of the lot at my Post Office. One day an ignoramus parked at the front door horizontally across one space with the front and back of his car poking onto the adjacent spaces. As I pulled up, another driver was coming from the opposite direction. Our eyes met, we pointed to the car, nodded our heads and we squeezed in front and back of the dummy's car.  Ten minutes later when we left the Post Office he was waiting in his car and glared at us indignantly. Perhaps we shouldn't have busted out laughing but every once in a while you win one for the gipper.

Ditto on Rani's peeve about people being snide or snarky about people they dislike without confronting them directly.    I have seen that on and off line. Either SAY something to them or be quiet is my view on it.
This is a little bit related to that, another big pet peeve of mine (not that i have many) is people who are two faced, they only tell you what they think you want to hear or agree with you to your face, all the while talking crap behind your back. Lovely, huh?

people who were suposed to be watching the puppy don't and she chews on the wooden corner molding then they fuss at you because you weren't there because you were at work so you could pay for the puppies food toys and everything else she needs but you were suposed to stop her and now it's suposed to come out of your pocket.

People who ride their bikes in the street and don't follow the laws of traffic.
Also where I live we have bike lanes for the Lance Armstrong wannabees and for some reason half of them still ride in the street. The way I see it is if you have a "special" lane and your spandex wearing weed puller is in MY automobile lane I should be OBLIGATED to run your butt over..And is it just me or do these people pick the most dangerous roads in town to ride on? It's like they think, "Hey, this road over here is notorious for blind curves, lets ride five people side by side".

Oh, wow... now that's nice.  What about the ones who don't want to sit so they just sort of... crouch, and leave the seat all wet for the next person?  I mean, really... WHO does that?   And shouldn't they be made to sit in it themselves if they're caught?

I used to be a retail manager in a major dept. store.  My biggest pet peeve was the women who would miss the toilet and leave massive amounts of feces all over the stall (floor, side of toilet, walls, and door).  I understand some people have bowel issues but tell someone you found a mess if you can't fess up to it!  The sad thing is this would happen at least twice week.  Not fun to clean up!!!

Ok, this one works well here...  Why do some people think that they or their event is more important than anyone else?  Seriously- Giggles and I had a garage sale today and someone stole/removed ALL of our signs!  =P  Why, why, WHY would you do that?

There's an intersection on my commute that the turning lane always backs up on (going the opposite way of where I'm going). However, people still feel they have the need to completely pull into and park in the intersection, blocking the first couple minutes of my green light. If there are cars stopped in an intersection ahead of you, don't pull into it, no matter if the light is green or not!
