Lady Kathleen,

Is the gold piping on the edge of the piccadil hand bound on or, was it sewn in the seam, and turned?
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Lady Stitch!

The gold piping was sewn onto the picadil before I sewed onthe lining. It appeared in the portrait that to be the case of piping. I was thinking of adding a string of 4mm pearls to cover it if need be.

They look pretty good.

As for making it a bit less neat in the front...  Just ad a quarter inch to each front piece side seam.  Or half an inch if you want it a whole inch bigger.

Thanks, Kate!  I'm wondering if tapering the addition will work: maybe 1/2 inch at the top/underarm of the seam (because I need the room at the bustline), down to nothing at the bottom, because it fits fine at the waist?

Materials for Kendyl's new court dress. Blue and tan floral pattern for bodice, sleeves and overskirt. Brown for forepart. Solid blue for underskirt, sleeve lining and trim on overskirt. Sleeves will be a tudor style from Sim4488 view A. Bodice Sim9256 view A. Overskirt and underskirt Margo Anderson's Elizabethan Lady's Wardrobe. I have everything cut out. Just need to start sewing!!!

I have to admit I love my green silk stays!  Based on the Corset pattern generator and Mara Riley's conversion to 18th C stays...

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

That 18th Century corset looks great, Kate!

The gown is going to be marvelous as well!!!

I cannot wait to make my 18th Century gown and corset.

Ooooo lovlies lovies indeed. :)  There are times when I wish I worked for larger theaters and got to make the fancy stuff, but I would miss my odd ball things. :)

Again wonderful work.  ;D

I can't make my mind up whether I love my purple one best or Su's teal one!  But we are both having a blast working on these things and all the rest of the kit.
