I just realized, that in all my years of going to faire, this is the first year that I have completed by opening day garb ahead of time!  I am not going to spend the night before faire furiously sewing or making anything...I feel so weird! lol

too funny!  Last year I stayed up the entire night before festival finishing our two princess's gowns and making my daughters crown.  They were only half done the night before.  I always say I'm not going to do it and always end up doing things last minute LOL

hahaha  yup that's me right now.  I have garb to wear, nothing new, but I have something.  I'm leaving tomarrow afternoon for MIRF, and since about ten last night I have been conspiring to make a medieval dress.  What am I thinking?  Thankfully I see I'm not any more insane than anyone else around here.  weeeeee for last minute garb sewing!

Oh, I'm soooo Renvious that you get Faire so soon!!!  I've been hearing about MiRF for a couple of year now, and I really hope I get to visit it some day... Have a wonderful time, and enjoy your new gown!  Don't forget to post some pics for us!!!

I remember several years back having the grand idea to throw together a hat. Nothing elaborate, but I waiting until the morning OF faire to start and finish the project. I managed to get something resembling a hat done...don't know what I was thinking...

Sure... you say that now, but what about that new pair of bloomers you were thinking about whipping up, or those lovely feathers that would make the prettiest little fan, hmmm?  Oh, and those new beads that you were going to turn into a gorgeous bodice brooch?  I know you're just sitting there wondering what else you can start before you leave...    heheh

Anna, I'm the same way... not done until I'm actually out the door, and checking to make sure I have my small sewing kit and jewelry tools with me so I can finish up in the parking lot...

I was just telling my husband today while driving him to work that I feel so weird having everything for opening day done. I feel bad, my best friend/sewing partner is still sewing furiously.  She is going to try to whip up a kilt by Saturday!

I may...just may work on a pretty little pouch-even though I already have a basket that I will be carrying around
