The Ren corset I've been working on, based off of the corset pattern generator.

Ooh, that blue fabric is delish!
Garb: lovingly hand-washed, gently pressed, and hung in climate-controlled closet. Mundane clothing: usually on floor.

Holy smokes girl do you ever rest? :o

This one has just been going little by little for about 2-3 weeks now. It's reversible too - the back is a nice light pink flecked with ivory upholstery fabric. Both the fabrics I bought off the red tag table, knowing they'd make good corsets!

At this point, I need to make the eyelets on 3 of the edges, insert the cable ties, and bind, then it's done.

Lady Rebecca

I have finished all the eyelets, and inserted the boning into the right side of the bodice. Unfortunately, I ran out of cable ties after only 6 pieces on the left side. And Home Depot isn't open at 1am. So I'll be able to finish the boning tomorrow, though the binding might wind up waiting for another day.

Agreed, awesome fabric. And nice fit!

Lady Rebecca

All the boning is in! Here are some pictures of the reverse fabric. Now the only thing I have to do is bind it. (Though naturally, the bias I bought isn't wide enough to make both sides look pretty!) Now I'm just worried it might be too big!

Please ignore the wrinkles - I hadn't basted the two fabrics together at the top when I took these pictures.

I don't think it's too big: you do have a good inch still to close up the front.  I think the front comes up too high by about 3/4".  You might want to trim it down before binding the top edge.

The way to stop those horizontal wrinkles is not so much to baste the edges, but to make sure the bones are really snug in their channels for length as well as width.

It looks really good so far.  Love the pink fabric.

Lady Rebecca, That looks awesome!

Add me to those in love with Lady Rebecca's pink + blue corset!!!

I've finished the corded flatlining for my curved-front dress!! This is a terrible picture (Milord is asleep), but it gives you an idea:

Here's what I've learned: Curves are CUTE! This thing is so freaking adorable, I can't stand it.

I talked about trying to raise the neckline a little--and I did that, but it only emphasized the size of my chest  ::), so I went with the lower version. I have the back neckline finally at the perfect height too (but it's a little difficult to take a picture of your own back!).

Squee!!

I have to put this aside tomorrow to work on Much Ado vests, but right now I'm wearing it, just for fun;D

Lady Rebecca

That looks fantastic! What do you use as the cords/where do you find them?

And to take a picture of your own back, grab a compact mirror, face your back to the mirror and aim the camera there, then use the compact to see what your camera is taking a picture of. Your picture will come out like this:

Also, Kate, I'm considering cutting it down, now that you have said that. Is the back the right height?
