Thank you, all!   I hated cutting into the fabric for the surcote.  I've had that fabric for years and was terrified of messing up the pattern.   I hand drafted or draped the entire outfit.   The high neck chemise and the skirt were easy.  The surcote wasn't really that bad, either - it was more my fear of knowing that there isn't anymore fabric like that anywhere than the actual pattern.  The pattern itself is simple.

The stays took a couple of tries because I accidentally used the wrong pattern at first.  (I used my Venetian bodice pattern rather than my regular renn bodice pattern, whoops!) but the second time it came out well.

Cap'n that is absolutely stunning!!!  I love it and can't wait to see you in it.  I do pray for lovely weather so I can see you in Covington Glen in it.   You will be a knock out!

I finally have a picture dressed in my new grey dress that I wore Saturday to TNRF.  Was really very comfortable all day!


of course nothing is ever completely done.  I am sure I will keep tweaking it.
