The PP took me out to an amazing dinner last night, then to pirates 4.  We had spent the day together, shopping, going to lunch at In and Out Burger.  And just enjoying being together.  Then add in that we go to Scarby today, and get to stay late.  Fun fun wonderful couple days.  ;D ;D ;D

A co worker shows up at your office door with a nearly new diaper gennie, with lots of supplies, and coupons in case you need more.  She doesnt' need it anymore, and thought to bless me with something that had blessed her.   Doesn't want anything in return for it other than to make sure we have a happy baby.  ;D

This is actually from last week --- Got my Roku hooked up, my Amazon Prime Account activated, and began re-watching a lot of the old "Classic" Doctor Who episodes from the 1960's & 1970's.  I'll be watching the new (post-2005) Doctor Who episodes soon, and get caught up to the current season.

For today --- Activated my Netflix account and began watching some George Burns & Gracie Allen TV show episodes.  :D

We started watching some old Burns and Allen episodes a few weeks back... they were fun, but they didn't hold up as well as some things, in my opinion (and I had always enjoyed them when I watched them in the 50s).  Watch the Dick Van Dyke Show. Those have held up amazingly well. A friend made fun of me because I said I had always thought Mary Tyler Moore was hot... Forgive me. I'm OLD! ...and I still think she was hot... The original Twilight Zone is on Netflix streaming too....

My first exposure to Burns and Allen was in re-runs that aired in the mid-1980's, when I was at Electronics Tech School at Texas A&M.  It must have been on a cable channel, but I don't remember which one.

That's one of my all-time favorite TV shows.  I remember when Nick-at-Night had a marathon showing of all 158 episodes during a one week period in the 90's.

Good Grief! The forum changed the name of Jerry Van Dyke's brother?!?   Okay, moderators... can we ease off a little on the restrictions, or take more threads behind the login?? This is worse than grade school!  </rant>

David, though the earlier B&A shows were before my time, by the end of the series, I'm guessing I was seeing them first run. I really think the later ones were probably better. Nim and I have laughed our collective arses off watching the D. Van Dyke Show, though. It was just some incredible writing. If you didn't see the pilot (Carl Reiner had the starring role), you should see it. The show would not have lasted with him starring. But his writing for Van Dyke and MTM, et al, was impeccable.

The possibility that the situation might not be quite as bad as I was afraid of... and that maybe I haven't lost something important, after all.

You mean Richard Van Dyke? Yeah I've had so many problems with that. He's one of my favorite actors too :(
