Well, at least you got a little rain, anyway.  I've never been that far north in Alberta, but I would imagine it's beautiful up there.  Did you get a chance to see anything while you were there, or just work the whole time?

Went shooting on another managers land... ate Elk steaks& Buffalo burgers.  Beautiful country.  Molsen Golden was flowing like water.  ;)

The land of... well, beer and buffalo burgers, instead of milk and honey.  Not bad!  Oh, and wasn't there something about a Labatt's hangover, as well?  ;)  Sounds like you had a good time during most of your visit, at least!  That's awesome...   :)

I've only been through parts of Alberta on my way beck down from Alaska, but I didn't really get to stop and enjoy any of it.  What I saw was incredibly beautiful, though, and wild... and it would be nice to go back and visit up there some time, and do some real camping.  Some of the friendliest people I've ever met, also.

I'm guessing you were probably too busy to get any photos, though?

Glad you had a safe journey, anyway...

I'll take beer and buffalo over milk and honey any day.  I spent a considerable amount of time once trying to get a Canadian to give me the finger, just for a photo op, no one would.

That's because they're all just too nice!  :D

Well... except for the border guards, anyway.  But that's another story...  ::)

Beer and Buffalo! YUM!

And Rani- Do the owners of the drive in KNOW that you have lots of friends with swords? :P

Fae, I'm thinkin' that they don't... but maybe they SHOULD, huh?  :o  :D

Seriously, though... it's a bunch of absolutely ancient little old guys who own and run the place, and I'm actually kind of amazed that they even have a website, at all!  I should just call for info from now on, though, because I called today and found out that on the info system it says only two shows on Sundays, and not three...  ::)  Oh, and a few of their menu prices aren't current, either... popcorn starts at $2 now, and goes up to $8 (which is still about $4 less than the local full price theaters around here).  Other than that, it's pretty much right on, though.

Tiny drive-in, also, but it definitely took me back to when I was a kid, that's for sure!  And Scally enjoyed it!  Next time we'll be taking the lawn chairs and the cooler...  ;)

Well, first off, you're not all that little... you kind of tower over me!  :P  And second, you're NOT that old!  I'm talking in their very late 70's and 80's, here!  and they really WERE kinda little!  My height...  :D

I think the last movie I saw at a Drive-In was Smokey and the Bandit, a couple of years after it was originally released.  Our extended family (parents, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins) took a few trucks, lawn chairs, etc. to the Redbug Drive-in at Fordyce, Arkansas.

So, have you brewed all your Loki already, or do you still have other batches to make?  I'm planning to make mine tomorrow evening during the full moon, but several hours after tomorrow afternoon's lunar eclipse.  I'm just not sure what sort of effect that might have, so I don't want to take the chance that it might... alter something.  :o
