It really is hard to get any work done with a toddler running around loose.  Hell, I have trouble getting anything done with my 10 y/o here!  You have my sympathy...  


Well... now that my own renlet is in bed (after our late movie) it's time to get started on the Loki!  I expect to be up for a while...

ironically, yes, she did I turned around to see her toddling around with my diet soda can in both hands, gulping away my caffeinated goodness. I went to retrieve it, and this was apparently the cue to begin a destructo-derby race with daddy, and she ran off at a high rate of speed, giggling maniacally, and bulldozing through furniture, trash cans, cats, and one wall. By the time I caught up with her, she had imbibed or spilled most of my soda, the wee little brat. It should be little wonder that I later found her literally hanging from the middle of the blinds like a gecko (she'd climbed up onto the back of the love seat and climbed the blinds like a ladder), giggling and squeeing at people as they walked by outside.

Uhhh, yeah... it doesn't matter where you leave soda.  If it's in the house, they WILL find it, and they WILL drink it before you can catch them.  It's some sort of twisted Universal law, I believe.  I didn't even buy soda for about 7 years... and Scally has only had one caffeinated soda in her life, to date (that she had while I was there, and it was under extremely unusual circumstances).  We still only buy it every great once in a while, and only non-caffeinated clear sodas, and then we mix it with juices to make a fizzy punch.   

Yes, I'm THAT mom...    But at least I don't have a kid OD'd on sugar and caffeine who has been "diagnosed" by teachers and school counselors as being ADD or ADHD...

Of course, I only have coffee about 1-2 times per week, myself, so caffeine isn't really a big issue around here, either.

Please... tell me how someone's car horn alarm can go off EVERY f'n morning at the same exact time?!?    4:56am... EVERY MORNING!!!  And it's always parked right in front of MY bedroom window!!! 


I never knew you could set your freakin' CAR as your alarm clock!!!    But if I had a gun... it would be one dead car right now.  In fact, it would have died a tragic, yet well deserved, death WEEKS ago!!!

I'll be the first to admit I'm a caffeine addict lol. I have coffee just about every morning or if not coffee a giant diet soda or energy drink.

SirR, have you ever tried Stevia instead of the sweetener you used last year?  Was it Nutri-Sweet?  

No it was Splenda a friend ask that I use it as she is sugar intolerant.  Stevia sounds interesting will have to see if I can find any around Dallas and try it.  Thanks

Neighbor of mine parked his car in front of my townhouse, and it used to do that. Met an unfortunate accident with a very large chunk of masonry that somehow fell from the roof...

SirR, Stevia is an all natural sweetener that is plant based, and has been used safely for at least the last two thousand years, and it has no calories and no carbs, so it's safe for diabetics, or anyone else with any sort of sugar sensitivity.  It can now be found at any WalMart in the baking aisle.


B, I just don't understand how it can go off at the SAME time every morning?!?  And believe me, if it weren't 20ft from the building... it would have suffered a similar fate long ago!  Seriously... I'd just shoot it if I could.  Even when I get to bed at a semi-decent hour, I know it's going to wake me up every freakin' day, and it never fails...  



I think I might need a little caffeine today, since I only got about 4 hours of sleep... and I have the most horrid sinus/tension headache.  Ibuprofen is my friend, today... but I'm thinkin' a mocha cappuccino latte sounds pretty good, as well.

Do complaints to the apartment management not help? Actually, calls to the P.D. may help after the person gets a few tickets for noise... You can file a complaint.
