Thank you all. :) Lady Renee, for my hat I used McCall's 4805, and for my boyfriend's, Butterick 4574.

Alisoun

Everyone is so beautifully busy! There are such pretty pieces!

My contribution is renlet garb. This was The Tiny Tyrant's first faire, and we think she had a good time, or, at least, not a bad time. I made her a low-necked smock in a linen-cotton blend, a back laced dress in broadcloth, and baby shoes in twill with canvas soles. She also had a downsized straw hat and an oversized coif, eventually moving on to a purchased headband to label her "girl".

Drafting this outfit gave me good insight for the noble ensemble to come.

Alison, the renlet garb is SOOOOOOOOO adorable!!!!! What a great job!!!
I'm not fat, it's just that a skinny body couldn't hold ALL THIS PERSONALITY! ;)

What a cute cherub she is!  "Tiny Tyrant' indeed!  Mine was either a cherub or a boiled goblin!  Now he's the Giant Mutant Ninja Teenager!

Loverly garb for the baby, Allisoun!!

I cannot wait to make renlet garb for my newest granddaugther next year when she will be 18 months old by the time Minnesota starts for the 2012 season. For now, she has to settle for clothes she has and what Grandma buys her. Such as her TWINS hoodie!

Naomie Schnurr enjoying her forst TWINS game at Target Field yesterday. being a baseball fan is tiring indeed! Next year, Renaissance Festivals!!!

Lady Kathleen, may I ask what stitch you used on your serger and what kind of pleat you used on your cuffs and collar?

I was unable to view the photo Evie. So I suspect it was one of mine.

The tight rolled hem was what I used on my serger, a Janome. The pleat was a stacked Box Pleat to make the figure 8's.

Not for the Renn Faire, but I figure enough people might be interested in some 18th Century here.  My Mom has agreed to come with me to "Under the Redcoat" at Williamsburg, Va.  Woohoo!  Of course, this means she needs any entire 18th Century wardrobe that will last her three days in a Virginia summer.   I just finished the last of her "everyday" outfits and need to start on her fancy dress for a dinner and a concert.

The first of her outfits is a shortgown with a matching petticoat:

She'll probably wear an apron with it to give the outfit more color.

The second of her everyday outfits is a fitted jacket with a contrasting petticoat:

The petticoat isn't actually that bright.  It's a lovely orangy rose color I got after attempting to dye natural colored linen scarlet red...twice.  I used "pearl" buttons on the jacket but it actually closes with hooks and eyes.

The last of the everyday outfits is one I started and finished yesterday.

I think this round gown is my favorite.   It's out of a linen that has thin dark brown stripes on a light brown background.   I haven't added any trim or other decoration to it because I don't think it needs it.  We'll see what Mom says!

Now to get started on her green silk ballgown and then I can work on my stuff.  BTW, this is all stuff I've made this month -from her stays to her shoes to each of the outfits- and the event starts on the 24th!

Lady Kathleen, sorry about the lack of picture, but you knew exactly which one I was referring to. Now I get to practice pleating and play with my serger a bit. Thank you so much for the info.

Just finished items for  Lady De Rue Rue, 3 Pirate shirts and Venetians for Lady Renee Buchannan's son, and now need to get yet another shirt made for a King. After that, back to the Bathory project for tygrkat. No rest for the wicked!

My dear Lady Kathleen...  You cannot post something like this without photos.   I am very sure I've read that somewhere in the forum's guidelines.  ;)

Using the SIMPLICITY Tudor pattern for the False Undersleeves and False Chemise piece...

Closeup of the decorative sttiching on the False Chemise Sleeve..I used the Gold Silk as a bias band and the buttons that Lady De Rue Rue supplied. I did elastic so that the False Undersleeves could be taken off easier, which Lady De Rue Rue requested.

The Oversleeve in Gold Silk and Gold Brocade...These can be added to the gown sleeve and finished off.

Lady De Rue Rue sent me lovely imported Italian Linen for her husband's shirt. The Blackwork was done by another, Which is why I want a sewing machine that embroiders such designs. I used the SIMPLICITY Jack Sparrow pattern for the shirt. Nice shirt pattern by the way! I added buttons and loops because the front opening was too deep.

Now on to another Kingly shirt.
