I don't know how, since customer service says the website, itself, and the streaming feature, are both down at this time.  Maybe it's a regional thing... they didn't specify.  But I can't even access my queue, or anything, right now.

In fact, the only page that IS accessible is their Contact Us page.  Maybe it's a Windows issue, though...?  I know you don't run Windows.

I actually use a Roku set-top device.  Since Netflix uses M$ Silverlight for media streaming, it doesn't work on my Linux PC's.

Well, all I know is that the website is still down, and... oops, spoke too soon!  It just came back online, and it's all accessible, now.  Guess we can watch Part 2, after all!

Well... maybe.  It's not responding again, now... grrrrr.  This is annoying!!!

I don't know why you don't still live there! <snip> Do you ever go back to visit?

I trust me, I miss my home desperately, and if I could move back to stay I would. Unfortunately, it's not an option. I have my orders from topside, and they supersede my wants and wishes, so I am here until I finish what I was meant to do. Sucks, but that's the price I pay, and its worth it in the long run. Tiff and I have been planning on honeymooning up there, but we STILL haven't had our honeymoon yet, so I don't know if that's ever going to come to fruition or not.

Maeven- thanks :D

I miss it a lot, and I haven't been there in... well, more years than I care to think about.  I visited just about every place where the roads went, except the north slope, but my favorite place was down around Seward, on Resurrection Bay... although I'm sure I would have fallen in love with the islands if I had been able to get there.

There's a reason I have trouble with Texas summers. This is where I grew up-

How could you stand living in a hell-hole like that?  ::)   Since you're not living there anymore, can I have your old place?   I'd love to live in a place like that...

BTW, I was looking at some pictures from Scarborough 2004 season, and there's a guy on cast that looks a lot like you (at least your avatar photo). Were you up there at that time?

Nope, never worked at Scarby, and have only been there a half-dozen times. It's not close enough to visit regularly, and it's usually too bloody hot.

O..M..G!!!  :o  ;D  Just got off the phone with the partner (financial backer) of the guy I did the paintball logo for, and he just hired me to do a 3D digital rendering of a prototype wind generator... for $1000!!!  :o

If I can get it in within the next 8-9 days... we could still make it to RenDezvous.  :D  This might just be the miracle I've been waiting for!!!

Fraser... your WOOT came right as he was telling me he wanted to hire me, so obviously not random, at all!!!  You must have been tuned in to my psychic broadcast...  ;)  LOL

I am overhauling the house to A) be ready to handle evacuees if necessary, and B) the master bedroom to handle a toddler AND a newborn. Og make big furniture move with head!

...no, seriously, I moved the 600lb dresser by getting down on all fours and bulldozing it with my head. Worked, and amused Fíonna to no end :D
