Good thing it has been quiet the past few days. Only had 10 pages to catch up on from last Friday till today.

Congrats on the latest logo job Rani. Glad to see you are having fun making some needed cash. Funny thing about that....some of us have good paying jobs with benefits working for a big corp, but because the job has no real joy in it, makes you wonder if it's worth the trouble.

Anyway.....

Laird Fraser / et all - I have seen quite a bit about this "Loki" drink, but have never tried it nor even known what was it's lure. Someone will have to enlighten this naive soul.

Loki... or by it's full name, Loki's Revenge, is a drink, as legend has it, was invented by Texas Rennies back in the early days of faire.  *Read hippies looking to fit in somewhere.  *  It's a bit like Jungle Juice in that it's main ingredent is Everclear/Grain except with Loki, it's allowed to age.    To some, it's bottled fairy juice with moonbeams, rainbows and glitter... to others, well let us say that they find out why it's full name is Loki's Revenge.  It comes in many flavors/styles but it's the drink of choice for many come faire... after beer, that is.

Loki (aptly named after the Norse god of chaos) if over-indulged in, will have you sleeping in a tree, sans kilt, or found rolled up in a spare carpet, naked and sleeping in front of a strangers tent, in the wrong camp. Actually I believe nearly every story involves finding the drinker naked, the next day, in some odd location. I've even heard that one man was found under a stage in the faire grounds, but that story has never been confirmed.

O..M..G!!!      Just got off the phone with the partner (financial backer) of the guy I did the paintball logo for, and he just hired me to do a 3D digital rendering of a prototype wind generator... for $1000!!!

Thank you for the reminder, Rani!  I forgot to mark "Day 99" on my calender.  The true countdown is about to begin and the rushing around, like a Mouse on fire, starts.  I honestly don't know how people just "wing it".  I know most of my prep time is aimed at AHE but i like to have everything in place before Opening Cannon, on that first day.  Laird Nasty & I will roll into camp (Opening Saturday) fairly early, we hope but it depends on Nasty's class schedule.  AHE, we'll be at the gate before noon on Thursday and ready to throw down.

I'm thinking about keeping Scally out of school for 3 days this year, so we can be there for Thursday night, as well.  We usually only get this one weekend a year with all of you, and it goes FAR too quickly.  Besides, I'm not at all sure how things will work out if we're able to move to CO... so we'd better make the most of this year!  

I have a lot of prep to do this year, as well... and I'm VERY tempted to splurge a bit and buy us a new tent, since we've been using the old one for almost 10 years, now, and the zipper is going.  It would be nice to have one of the straight-wall tents, like Rapier has.  They're really roomy, and they look like they go up pretty easily, once you figure out the system.  Maybe new air mattresses this year, as well.  

I've been seriously considering just staying here in OK for a bit longer, anyway.  My grandpa will be 98 next month, and I really don't want to miss any time with him, if I can avoid it.  We try to visit every weekend if we can, so we might not be moving for a while yet...

I love the sound of rain on my roof. My dog likes it better-he's been napping ever since the rain came rolling in! lol
