I can turn sideways, in full daylight, and disappear...  ;D

Wow... sounds like I need to check out YOUR diet plan!  ;)  (just so long as it doesn't include actual grasshoppers, grasshoppah...)  :D

*yawn... stretch...*

Break time, and iced coffee time, also.  Oh, my... I need to stop working all night!  I can't even see straight, and everything is just a little... blurry.  I can't believe these people didn't even start looking for a designer until 2 weeks before their presentation!  What on earth were they thinking?!?  :o  ::)

At least there will be (a lot) more work from this same company later on, though... and they're pleasant and easy to work with, which is a HUGE plus!

So, what does everyone have planned for this weekend?

Soooo.....a few days late, but now know what our weekend plans are.

Please welcome Miss Addison Gail to this plane of existance we call our own. Born three weeks early on June 28, 2011 in Little Rock AR, she is healthy @ 6 lb and 19" and has all the required number of fingers and toes. ;) ;D
Needless to say, the evil witch....errr lovely Lady :P... accepts no balking on the drive from Houston on Saturday to see her 1st grandchild (Did not really plan on spending my vacation in Arkansas in July <sigh>).

READY FOR FAIRE!!!!!

Rani Zemirah

Congratulations!  And welcome to Lady Addison!!!  She sounds like a most lovely addition to the Shire!!!

Thanks Rani. Her rightfully proud parents seem to think she is pretty special. ;)

He is in the Air Force and had just got to the flight line when his CO came out and told him to head for the hospital. Made it just as they were preping her for a C-Section.

Fraser - Thanks, andThat has been the plan all along <evil grin>.

As the grandparents are divorced and both re-attached, we are going to be the "Fun" gramps who will make sure the child is totally spoiled.

Well, at least he got to be there!  And I'm sure they are completely correct about that!!!  :)

You're probably lucky that you're not on your way to AR right now!  When I went into serious labor with Scally, I called my mom and she threw a few things in a suitcase, picked up my brother and his daughter, and drove the 9 hours to Colorado from OKC to be there for the birth.  She got there 10 minutes late... but she was one of the first people to welcome her into the world.

Just be careful about that whole spoiling thing, though...  It will backfire one day when she's 16 and asks what kind of car you're going to be buying her for her birthday!  :o  :D

HA! Believe me, if she had her way that would be the case. Fortunately her son asked that she wait a couple of days until they settle in. The daughter-in-law and the baby are both in the hospita through Thursday anyway and her mother lives close by in Little Rock, as well as a number of girlfriends, so they will have plenty of help and "baby oogling".

Thanks Maeven and KiltedP

Ahh... well, I have no doubt that if it was her daughter having the baby you'd be there, already!  LOL

(sigh)  I'm still wrestling with this project...  I stayed up all night again last night, and might again tonight.  I've been working steadily since about 10:30 this morning and I'm just about beat...  If I was charging them by the hour instead of a flat rate, we'd be rapidly approaching the $1k mark.  Luckily I'm in the home stretch, so I won't be losing too much, and I'll actually be getting a great deal of business from this, so I'm just writing it off as a smaller than usual advertising fee.  :D

And I'm going to have a very large iced coffee now... with enough sugar to supplement the caffeine for at least a couple of hours.  I might be taking a nap this evening...

Edit:
For some reason I've had the song (Schizophrenic) Psycho by P.O.M. running through my head for the last couple of days...  ::)  :D

Congrats on the baby. Sorry if I'm not as enthusiastic as everyone else. I've got 4 of the little buggers. After having 2, they aren't so shiny any more. And when they range in age from 6 to 20, you find it hard to get excited about standing up or breathing. At this point I'm almost ready to start trading them like ball players. Or maybe even give a few of them away. I don't know, I haven't decided yet.
The girl child has started her phase of arguing every.single.detail. even when she agrees with you. one boy has started fire poi; he's the one that trips over the chalk line when he walks. another boy eats as much as the rest of us combined, and can't operate his ears or his brain when the TV is on, and the youngest has a perfect batting score of getting his shoes on the wrong feet, and answers every question with "i don't know".

[deep sigh]

And you love them in spite of it all...  :P

And I know this because... you're STILL THERE!!!

Sometimes, though, I do wish I could actually do something... ANYTHING... on my own, without having to be the "responsible-parent-on-duty".  Like, ohhh... go to Faire every great once in a while for a "grown-up" weekend...  That would just be soooo nice.

And, MrH... I was actually thinking of something just as... chemically induced as that fabled transformation, but a lot more cerebral, and a great deal less homicidal...  In fact, if you check out the lyrics of the song, it's pretty much describing what sounds a lot like something you might have experienced during the 60's and 70's... from eating magical sugar cubes or fungus.  :o  :D
