...if when you go clothes shopping, you often look at articles of clothing while asking youself, "Could this be used as garb too?"

(I'm not sure if anyone has posted this already, but this happens to me often :) )

Thankful I'm not the only one  :D

I also ask myself how the shoes would feel after walking around in them at faire all day, how they would survive getting dung and mud on them, and if they would go with my new skirt!

Pfft... most of my early garb came from my own personal wardrobe, and I still use some of it.  :D

Wish they would allow kilts at my job.  More comfortable than slacks.

ROFL.....

MrHyde,

Same here. I work for a major international Oil & Gas company in Houston. Asked HR why there would be a problem for me to wear a nice kilt (even perhaps just on casual Fridays)- since we have folks from India, Paskistan, certain Muslem countries, and places I can't even pronounce, who are all allowed to wear their traditional dress every day. All they could do was fidget and sputter that this was "different". Thanked them for the reverse discrimination of a Scot and walked away.......

MrHyde

Make sure to wear one to your retirement party one day.  As hot as it is right now a kilt would be awesome!!!!

Wow, that's bad. You should be allowed to wear kilts in the workplace. That would be awesome!

You purchase a new vehicle with enough cargo space for garb as criteria

LadyStitch

A friend calls Monday and says "I need peasant garb by Friday! Can you help?" And you don't have to think to say yes because:
1) You can make it in 3 days
2) You already have it in stash
3) You know someone who has it in THEIR stash  ;D
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

We decided on buying Homer, the Odyssey this year so that we would be more comfortable traveling to faires. He's already been to four different faires this year!
