Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

Both gowns are just lovely.  :)

I am inspired to make a new Victorian Overskirt and Jacket/Bodice by next July in time for CONVergence to wear with the Black Taffetta underskirt of the ensemble I finished last month.

Next question: How to pin up this ridiculous train so it looks even in the back and doesn't drag?

Also, excuse the mess lol

Lovely!  You may want to look into how they bustle wedding dress trains.  Basically, you sew discrete loops onto the train and put hooks or buttons underneath your bustle to hook them on.  Ironically, the bustle came into fashion because European nobility kept putting longer and longer trains on their evening gowns.  While such trains were great for a dramatic entrance, they were horrible for moving around in and dancing, so the designed built in bustling to pull them up.

Two glorious green Tudors! Huzzah to you both!!

Qween, you look lovely. That dark dark green is yummy.

Pynque, I was *just* telling Milord about your Diane dress last night! How exciting to see it finished and being modeled. I hope your DD is THRILLED!!

I remember seeing the making of the gown for pynquerose's DD and couldn't wait to see the end result.   That is so stunning!  LOVE the beadwork on the bodice still!

And PirateQweenB I DID see your gorgeous green at CRF!   The "silver/white" is so pretty and your headpiece suits you so well!

I probably saw you too, just didn't know it. Someone told me I looked like anne Boleyn. Lol.

Thank you Merlin. Enjoy it for many years to come.

The ensemble completed

I am going to miss it being in my Livingroom on the dress forms.
