fun work indeed!   I love bringing hand sewing to my office to do at lunch time.  (makes for LONG lunches)   I am so grateful for the coaching photos.  Can't wait to see how you lay in the cording.

It's not really that wrinkled.  Flash and silk taffeta are not friends.  :-)

I'm just gaga about the colours and details of your project, Isabella. Looking forward to see the whole outfit!

And now for something completely different... A ballet costume, with a corseted short bodice and a huge, bell shaped tulle skirt. Lots of drapes and flowers, and with an underskirt of different shades of mint and pink. Very yummy. Process so far:

The bodice is finished in front, but I need drapes and flowers and shoulder straps in the back. And then on to tackle the skirt...

Lady Isabella

Wow ladies! Very beautiful dresses!

It's always so exciting to stop in and see page after page of wonderful things. Beautiful work everyone.

CS, I love the colors and fabrics you chose. Love the simple, elegant design. Gonna be gorgeous.

Thanks Anna! Fingers crossed I get it done in time for B.A.R.F.

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

Looking god, CS.

I have one cuff of the Teague coat hand sewn with the cording around the Leafe design. Looks sharp. I wil get the other one done today. I enderd up using a Fabric Glue stick to hold down where the design was pinned on so that I could sew it. I am using Gold Embroidery Floss and it hs a tendency to knot. I cannot make my strings too long or too short. The hand sewing is a great distraction so that I do not eat when I am not supposed to and time seems to fly by.

Reno is lovely this time of the year. There is some snow in the Sierras. The Canyons are alive with a herd or two of Wild Mustangs. I have not seen any where my Mother lives as of yet. I may see some today, as I am going to do some shopping.

I am absolutely crushing on the green silk over the brown velvet.
