Hey Rabbi.... Please post a picture of your Renaissance Bubble Machine. I'd like to see how you finished it off. Has it been out for a test drive? Make sure you take it for a spin once or twice during the event... it's a great stress reliever!

The Bubble machine will make its debut at this years Faire and will be one of the main attractions at the front gate of the faire. Provided my Fae will allow me I intend on taking it for a bit of bubble blowing myself. Once I have photos I will gladly post them as I am extremely proud to have such a wonderful machine as part of the Magic.

Will there be a trebuchet competition this year?  I don't have one to enter this time but I LOVE to watch 'em!  Will there be an archery range?  I don't get to shoot my longbow very often inside the city limits.

Unfortunately there will not be a trebuchet competetion this year and no archery range per say. However I should still have hay bales and there is a really big field which you are welcome to use. Have had to go to plan B for this years fair on its exact location. Between the weather and a two year old gelding and just plain age I have succumbed to several injuries so while the address is still the same we will not be going as deep into the woods. We will still have 1.00 hot dogs but no turkey legs. Mutton or Pork Stew with home made wood fired oven baked bread and a cold meat and cheese platter with sides of potato pancakes and salmon patties for that Irish flair. Oh and a rumor has it there will be a very special guest debuting this year. Finally getting everything together and starting to get nerves lol. Look forward to seeing you in Fayetville on the 22nd.

If there is no trebuchet competition this year, that's no prob.  Maybe I can encourage treb owners to show up at other faires around here this year.  There's no need to physically overdo it.  Please pace yourself.  I do plan to use your hay bales as targets though.  Thanks!  The menu at your faire sounds great.

I'll put out some SoM blurbs on FB & my website as your faire draws closer.  See you 2 months from today.

Would be very much appreciated kind Sir any publicity we can get is greatly appreciated. While we do not have all to offer as other larger fairs I do hope our hospitality and personable attitude are sufficient enought to see us grow into the hearts of others. I am somewhat dissapointed in not being able to prepare the woods but at least I listened to others and revamped the location so that I could continue to see another year and will be ready for 2013 to take place deep within the heart of The Gypsy Woods.

Woods are good!  Ye olde King Arthur Faire of Stroud, OK was in the woods.  It was my favorite faire!  It was like being in a small Medieval village.  I also liked the final site we were able to use for Tulsa's King's Champion Medieval Faire.  It was in a woody part of Chandler Park.

Trees and shade are good for warm faire days as well.  Part of the Lawton Renfest's demise that it was in the middle of a field during June.  I doubt that it will be too hot on the first weekend of May but even warm days are uncomfortable in my outfit.

I'm working on this... I have commitments on campus I cannot get out of, but I really, really want to come to this!! It could be we don't arrive until after noon on Saturday, or possibly even Sunday, but I'm going to make a real effort!

My thoughts and good wishes are with you on this...

Greatly appreciate the moral support Good Sir Archer. I wish i had been able to schedule my fair at a slightly different time however my core group is otherwise occupied so went with the time slot available. Am hoping we have the oppurtunity to visit OKRF but alot of that will depend on Lisas availability to get off of work.

Merlin your Moral support is greatly appreciated as well and I understand the conflicting schedules should you not be able to attend then that is just the way things happen. Please do not put yourself in harms way by trying to rush in this direction as no fair is worth getting injured over.

Although OK is too far away from where I'm at to be able to attend, I truly and honestly applaud your efforts. I wish you all the success in the world!

The Rabbi

Thank you so very much Shadow. I am a very fortunate person as I have the support of very good people here on the forum which has helped more then I will ever be able to express. There are definetly times when a kind word and encouragement have enabled me to pick up and keep going. It is for this reason success is the only option as I will not allow myself to dissapoint any of you who have given me so much wonderful energy on this endevor. Thank you.
