Wow!  Fantastic work!  Mythrin, I love that ensemble.  Truly a work of art.

Here's my second men's doublet with detachable sleeves.  I'm having so much fun making these.

I love the black and gold doublet. Makes me wish I had time to tackle something like that for myself.

As usual, most of my work is finished just in time to get to the gate, so all the pictures I have are at faire. Not that that is a bad thing at all. Amara got a new doublet gownand chemise. I must say, pleating that much fabric into the bottom of the bodice was a pain, trying to get the lining and shell to line up. I ended up having to do it by hand the night before. I may have to either add or adjust clasps, as they kept slipping. The fabric was a thrift store score: cotton brocade duvet cover. I think the thread cost more that the fabric. The chemise is a 100% linen I found as a remnant at Joann's. For the next faire, I hope to use what fabric I have left to put together a set of paned sleeves (a first for me), and get a new, nicer underskirt together.

I did get comments when we stopped by the court, that the queen and the lady who introduced us to the court, were very impressed about the time and effort we put into our garb as playtrons, and we were invited to join the guild.

Su and I have been working on this one for the last couple or three weeks (along with a couple of other things I'll show when I get some good photos).

1950's Space Ranger uniform, based on the RAF Officer's uniform of the day, a la Dan Dare!

We shared the work pretty much 50/50 on time and input, from pattern drafting though to sewing the buttons on!
