Cejkov Castle is a ruined castle on a hill above the village of Cejkov, Slovakia.

It was probably built in the thirteenth century. Cejkovská branch of the Kaplon family owned Cejkov Castle until 1403.

Gracar Turn is a castle on the northern outskirts of Hrastje in the Šentjernej municipality in southeastern Slovenia.

The historian Valvasor mentions a fortified manor stood on the site in the 14th century, built by the Grätzer family from nearby Gradac.

Krasna Horka is a castle in Slovakia, towering over the village Krasnohorske Podhradie.

The beginnings of the castle are linked to Akos brothers, who started building it in the 13th century on a trade route leading from Transylvania through Kosice to Spis and today's Poland. The castle was extensively damaged by fire on 10 March 2012

The really amazing thing is that Krasna Horka apparently had its roof set ablaze by a wind-blown grass fire that was outside the castle.

I wonder if the recent restoration work on the castle installed a flammable roof, or if the roof has always been flammable?  Seems like it would have been rather easy to conquer in the past, if it could be burned so readily.

Castillo de Valderrobles is located in Valderrobles, Teruel Province, Spain.

The castle probably originated in the late twelfth century, but is by no means improbable that it is much older.

Castillo de Sibirana   is the name that is known to the wilderness that only houses a castle and a church (the chapel of Santa Quiteria ), both in style Aragonese Romanesque, in Spain.

According to Jose Luis Aramendía , based on the work The Birth of Romanesque art in Aragon, E. Lorente, F. Lorente, F. Galtier y García Guatas,  Sibirana Castle was conquered by King Sancho Garcés I of Navarre in the year 921 .In this case, it would be an Islamic conquest of a previous tower on which they built the present castle.

Castle Pfeffingen is located on a ridge near the town of Pfeffingen, Switzerland.

The actual age of the castle is not known exactly. There are records of a visit by the Franish Royal Court in the 11th century, to a nobleman with the title Grafen von Saugern. In the mid thirteenth century the castle underwent a major reconstruction by its current owners, the Thirstein family.

Aesch Castle (or Blarer Castle) is a castle in the Swiss municipality of Aesch.

The castle was built in 1605/06 by the Blarer of Wartensee family. This family was originally from St. Gallen and had become wealthy from the linen trade. One line of the family settled in Wartensee Castle at Rorschach, hence the name of this line.

Terebovl Castle is a ruin in Terebovlia, Ukraine.

It was first mentioned in chronicles in the year 1097. During the Red Ruthenia times it used to be the center of Terebovlia principality. Most of the outer walls visible today were built in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Castell Moel is a tenth century motte and bailey in Wales.

In the sixteenth century, the Rede family built a tower house on the old motte on the hill overlooking the River Towy. Nothing is known about the original builders. The Rede castle lies in ruin today and is much overgrown.

Somehow I've missed Scarborough Castle, the original one in England, not the one in Waxahachie.
Scarborough Castle is a former medieval Royal fortress situated on a rocky promontory overlooking the North Sea.

The site of the castle, encompassing the Iron Age settlement, Roman signal station, an Anglo-Scandinavian settlement and chapel, the 12th century enclosure castle and 18th century battery, is a scheduled monument of national importance.

Château de Kérouzéré is a Breton château in the commune of Sibiril, France.

The château was built in granite in the first half of the 15th century for Jean and Yves de Kérouzéré, seneschal of Morlaix, and followers of the dukes of Brittany.
