So...anyone going?  It's a long drive for us, but we're having the discussion with a group who is more local about finding a place to camp for the night afterwards.  What of this do you think?

Ya, my Lafayette crew is planning a trip, I've got a friend from New Braunfels who's trying to find us a spot nearby the event to camp, I'll be sure to post here when we decide what we're doing.

I think the closest would be the RV park in Brookshire. http://www.hwrvpark.com/

It's probably about 20 - 30 mins away from the last pub.

Not certain, but you could always call.  If I had space I'd offer up the house/backyard but the hubby might not like it too much.

If the RV Park won't let you, Tent Camping is allowed at Brazos Bend State Park, but it's about 36 miles South of the Pubs.

Or Stephen Austin Park in San Felipe, TX it's about 28 miles.  I've stayed at both when I was younger and they're both really nice but Brazos Bend is better.  Take the hiking trail to see the gators!  LOL
