Lady Renee Buchanan

This long Doublet from SIMPLICITY 4059, redrafted to fit a bit larger man. Again using the Black Medium Wale Corduroy, a narrow Celtic trim that I doubled, Celtic buttons. This is for Lady Renee Buchannan's son, Matthew. This will go with the garb pieces I made for him last year. What I did a little different was the back opens rather than be a closed seam. That way when Matthew sits down, he not encumbered.

Now on to my next project for a cast Member of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. An ensemble similar to that of Toki Bloodaxe's.

This is gorgeous.  I know Matthew will love it!

I'm a little late posting this. I made my mum's gown, my dad's shirt and waistcoat (including embroidery) and my gown. I still have sleeves to do for mum and myself and some beading for my gown. My daughter made our girdles. Overall I'm pleased with this first attempt at gowns, but I realize I have still have alot of studying and work to do.
