Has anyone made these--either the narrow or the full? Do you have photos?

I like the *idea* of these for a project, but I'm having trouble visualizing what they look like just from the line drawings. I'd especially love to see comparison shots of both curved sleeves. Likewise, images of similar sleeves in period would be lovely, too!

Anyone?

Thanks!!

I have Margo's patterns, the Elizabethan Lady, underpinnings and accessories. She has a Facebook group, so I asked over there and finally got an answer on the underskirt panels. You could try there?

Lady L how long did it take you to get approved for the group? I emailed to be let in over a week ago and still haven't been accepted  >:( I have partlet questions and need answers darn it! Otherwise I'm with Gem--I too am making the curved sleeves and would like pictures. They seem pretty straight forward...almost *too* straight forward  :-\

I joined a while ago, not sure how long it took to be approved, but I don't think it was very long. Sorry, I know that wasnt' very helpful! Margo did post that she was busy and not online as much.

Send a message to Margo/adminstrator. I know it took me about 2 weeks but she sent me a note saying she was back logged.

Yeah, I did that 4 days after no response :/ I'll keep being annoyingly persistent ;)

I made the narrow sleeves in the size recommended by my bicep measurement, and they were ENORMOUS. I could have fit both arms in one sleeve*. My suggestion: make a mockup.

Stone, that's the issue I had with the paned sleeves, even trimmed down (my bicep measurement put me in a 12, but my arm length put me in a 2--and they were STILL too big!). And I *did* make a mockup, but some things are hard to judge, particularly if you've never made or worn anything similar before!  That's one reason I figured I would draft my own using my existing sleeve pattern--but this isn't something I really want to make up without seeing IRL first.

Margo's Yahoo list has a photo gallery, but the pictures are really small and not well organized.

Thanks, LP! Those are awesome! They're also quite a bit less round in the back than I was expecting from the technical drawing. Very helpful!

This outfit is *amazing!* It had to have taken an *insane* amount of time and expertise!

Wicked-It's even more amazing up close.
When I saw him in person last month,  I could do nothing but stare at the sheer detail in that getup. Just rows and rows of tiny green satin bows, beads, buttons and embroidery.   Masterful workmanship.
I am sure I drooled on his matching heels at least once (sorry, LP).

but really this garment is about to be retired....hopefully its successor can live up to it.
As to the "insane" amount of time.....all there is to say is....yes lol over 00 hand stitched pearls lol
And dont worry about the shoes darling...they needed a good spit shine anyways!  No had you scuffed them it would have been another matter ;) lol
