Looks like the PP, Fuzzlet and I won't be going to Sherwood this year after all.  We are still recovering from being laid off for 6 months and just can't do it.  We will be shooting to be there for Scarby, but Sherwood looks to be out for the year.

I'm glad you have landed on your feet, too, Lady Stitch... i had just moved into a new house when the warhammer fell.  I should've seen it coming, considering the people i pissed off.

There had been rumors of lay offs for a while, but given that both of us were 'vested' with the company it didn't seem likely they would get rid of us.  Well... that didn't go as planned.  They laid both of us off the same day.   Thankfully we both now have much better jobs.

As much as we would like to go to Sherwood, we need to concentrate on family and getting life back to what is our kind of 'normal'.  We will hopefully be sending a couple new people your way.  A friend of ours just got transferred back to Austin and has been twitching to get back into faire.  He hasn't been able to go for 5 years.  he needs his faire fix... BAD.

Well, thanks to my messed up work schedule, I can't make opening weekend.  I'm really sad to have to miss everyone that comes for opening day.

I now currently plan to be out on February 16th, March 16th and closing- March 30th or 31st

Well, dang, Zardoz! You need to retrain your higher-ups! I told my supervisor the other day that I'd send her my faire schedule so that she'd know when I wouldn't be in the office. Both my supervisor and my department dean came to our renewal last year at Scarby and got a first taste of faire, and they know where my allegiance lies...

Yep, the problem is we only have 3 people in our department, so only one person can be gone at a time. I put in for the time off over a month ago, but somebody beat me to it by a few days.

Wee MacKee is now on a select baseball team and I don't know the tourney schedule yet..... I think we will make it for opening since I haven't been told we won't be making it lol!

It looks like me and My Lady Marion won`t be out for opening weekend of Sherwood. I just had a double hernia surgery last week(Wednesday 16th). I am glad the surgery is done. I am hoping to make at least one day before Sherwood closes for there run. But that all depends on how recovery goes. I will be at Scarborough for the entire run. Should make it TRF this year also.....................Huzzah

I know,but the kind of pain I was in I would not have been much fun. kinda hard to get around also. But on the up side I am walking around and kinda eating (very little). I am feeling allot better. I will see you at the Faires...................Huzzah

I do hope to see you at Sherwood, but if you're still sore, then you'll just have to plan for more Sherwood next year.

You only have one body and got to make it last for a lot more faires.  Gotta take care of it.

Polly I am still hoping to make it out this year to see my Rennie friends,but it might not be until the very end.We will just have to see how i am doing. Lady Marion is all over me to do,what the doctor tells me do.We have to take care of ourselves.We aren`t getting any younger are we.Well maybe in our minds. If we don`t make it out this year,you can be assured Me,My Lady Marion and our 3kids(our dogs) will be there next year in our airstream trailer for Sherwood. I really enjoyed our trip there last year. It sure was good to put names and faces together. I really like Sherwood faire and all the people of Sherwood .................Huzzah
