Wow, all that embroidery is gorgeous. How many hours did that take???

Lady Kathleen of Olmsted

I too have to concur that the embroidery is AMAZING!!

Holy WOW, Evie!! Fabulous job! You told us before what kind of machine you have, but I've already forgotten. :)

Evie McCann

Thank you ladies.

Gryffinsong, I've seen your work and love the gryffin quilt on your site. Those are the colors I use in my bedroom.

Lady Stephanie, it took 32 hours to do 24 panels at approximately 40 minutes per panel. In my "spare" time. ;->

Lady Kathleen and Gem, I cheat. I have a Pfaff Creative 4.0.

More photos coming.

Oh, SO pretty!!!! Beautiful job!

Is there going to be a new gown to go with this?

Evie McCann

Yes, I'm also working on a white silk underskirt with a Celtic heart embroidery pattern.  The overskirt and bodice will be plain black silk with black velvet guards.  She also wants a doublet to go with it, so if I have time I'll do that as well.  This will be her second year in a gown so I want it to look really good because I don't plan on making another for 5 more years.  We have on average 12 people in our group who go to Scarby with us so I'm constantly sewing.  Can't wait to get it all done!

Ok, so the chemise is finished and in the gallery of finished projects and now I'm working on the underskirt. It's white silk with black celtic hearts done with the black Robison-Anton rayon thread. It will be lined with white Kona cotton and have a black velvet guard on the bottom.

Those look extremely beautiful. Can't wait to see a finished project of it all together. Such great work
