Castello di Chenal is a castle Aosta Valley which is located in the hamlet of Chenal, Italy.

The castle at Chenal was built in the mid- thirteenth century by the family of the lords of Chenal. It was eventually passed as a dowry to Alexia, the only daughter of the last lord of Chenal. The castle then became the property of her husband Ebalo Challants Magno.
Ebalo Challants Magno, in his will of 1323, ordered in favor of the children of the "Chateau de neuf Chinal."

The Castle of Saint-Germain is a medieval castle located in the town of Montjovet, Italy.

The strategic position of the promontory of Monjovet (the old Mont Jovis) has been used since ancient times, in fact on the mountain whose summit is today occupied by the castle remains were found Neolithic. The Castle of Saint-Germain was built between the XI and XII century by the De Mongioveto Family.

Dinaburga Castle, also known as Vecdaugavpils or Vecpils, is a castle located in Naujene parish of Latvia.

The castle was built between 1273 and 1277 by the Livonian Order. Today only ruins remain. But the locals thought it would be a good idea to build a model on the site of what the castle might have looked like when new.

Gutenberg Castle is a preserved castle in the town of Balzers, Liechtenstein.

The castle hill, a rocky knob in the river valley, has been inhabited since the Neolithic Period. Gutenberg Castle began its existence as a medieval church and cemetery on a hilltop.  In the early 12th century, the fortification of the former church structure had slowly began with the addition of a ring wall, forming a simple, roughly circular keep.

The Guttenberg Castle, note the spelling, is a hilltop castle in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany.

On 1  May 1393 donated the Archbishop of Mainz, Konrad II von Weinsberg donated a new chapel, prope castrum nominatum Gutenberg, near the Guttenberg castle. The best estimate from documentary and archeological evidence is that the castle was built in the late Twelfth Century.

Kasteel Nederhemert is situated near the town Nederhemert in the Bommelerwaard District of the Netherlands.

Just before 1300 it started, as many castles do, as residential tower, over the centuries, becoming altered and extended. The first mention of a Jan van Hemert was in 1310 when he dedicated his castle in fief to the Duke of Gelre. The castle was partially destroyed in 1945 but has been restored, and was re-opened by Queen Beatrix in 2005.

Ballymoon Castle is located east of Muine Bheag (Bagenalstown), County Carlow, Ireland.

The castle is thought to date from the 13th century. Ballymoon is now in ruins.

Ballyloughan Castle is located near Ballyloughan, County Carlow in Ireland.

This castle was probably built in the 13th century and originally belonged to the Kavanaghs. Ballyloughan Castle consisted of a large open courtyard with a curtain wall and a moat outside.

Behestan Castle is located near Zanjan, Iran

Schauwenburg Castle is located in Bertrange in south-western Luxembourg.

The castle has a history dating back to the Middle Ages when, according to historical references from the early 13th century, the Lords of Bertrange occupied a fortified castle. The current castle has been much modified over the centuries so only bits and pieces date back to that earliest time.

Chojnow Castle is located Legnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.

It was already called a civitas in a 1288 document issued by the Piast duke Henry V of Legnica, and officially received town privileges in 1333 when the Dukes of Legnica built a castle there. Most of the defensive portions are in ruins.

Krupe, or Krupa, Castle is located slightly west of the village of Krupe in Poland.

The original rectangular keep was built in the early 1500's or late 1400's. Around the year 1577 the estate was purchased Pawel Orzechowski, who expanded it to the size of a stately, though defensive, mansion.

Castelo de Penas Róias is a castle in Portugal.

The domain of Penas Róias was donated in 1145 to the Order of the Knights Templar, by Fernão Mendes de Bragança. Traditionally it is stated the date of 1166 as the start of construction of the Castle; but there is no surviving record.

The Castle of Bemposta is in a small village in Portugal.

The original walled city can be documented to the eleventh century. But the castle, of which only a small keep remains, was built by the Knights Templar sometime between 1277 and 1287.

Bocskai Gabor Castle is located in the town Aghiresu of Cluj County, Romania.

The castle was built about 1572 by Gyorgy Bocskai whose father was Prince Bocskai Istvan. It may have been built on top of a simpler medieval fortress from about 1263.
