I did hear that things got just a little... humid... for all of you, this weekend!  :o  It was still FAIRE, though!  And a wet day of Faire beats any other day, anywhere... right?  ;D

Oh, yes, and...

When i woke up at 3:45am to the sound of thunder, i thought to myself "Nice!  the sound of rain to put me out a few more hours."  I hit the power window button... *buzz* *SNAP*  *clunk*... there went the window.  I'm still half asleep, trying to work out in my head what just happened... here come the first rain drops.  I popped the door, jumped out and managed to get the window up just as it started to come down....  Cats, dogs, and all manner of small mammals.

*fast forward to 7:30am*

I open my eyes and guess what! It was STILL coming down!  >:(  I finally said "The hell with this",  tossed on my waterproof boots & a poncho and went in for a few hours.

I recall that happening the last time we were there, for most of Sunday.  We still garbed and went it, although a bit later than usual!  It was nice to see mostly rennies in the place, albeit a but muddy... but at least we got to wear our cloaks that day!  It was a wonderful day of Faire!

Yes, a bit of a soggy weekend.  A couple of very light showers in the campground Friday afternoon, a light storm Sat morn about 4AM, and off and on drizzle most of Satuday.  Then about 4PM rain hit with a vengence and StudMuffin and I raced back to camp.  On the way we met Teach who commented about the rain, "First time I've been cool all day". SM and I made it under a pop-up to wait out the rain.  Finally it ended, the ponds drained and upon leaving cover, StudMuffin got stuck in the mud up to the wheel hubs and stopped working.  Alex, a kind ang considerate man, pushed us back to my vehicle where I loaded up StudMuffin and left camp much earlier than I had planned (Even had beer left)
StudMuffin is working again after drying out and ready for AHE.
All in all, still a wonderfull weekend.

It was soggy and humid, but still a bunch of fun. By the second hour we were there, Hubby, Cubette and myself were drenched from the heat (the big fun sheet of rain came just as the chainmaille group was getting ready to make their way back to get ready for the parade).

Ironically enough, my hair still looked good after all the humidity and rain. LOL!  ;D

It was great to see the few I was able to see, as we left after the fashion show--Cubette was worn out and uncomfortable after a little while and we didn't want to keep her out in the rain too much---baby colds are no fun.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone we missed (and the ones who haven't made it yet!) on AHE! Here's to hoping we have better weather! :)
*Short enough to not reach the pedals, tall enough for the rides at Six Flags!*

I'm splendid. That is all.

We WILL have perfect weather... because ANY day at Faire is perfect!  And I'm going to bribe Queen Bonny for some extra weather spells...  ;D

I think I am about 80% recovered from opening weekend.  Wow, the rain was crazy but it was still a great time.  Sunday at camp was entertaining.  We got to watch Dell pull trucks with travel trailers out of the mud.  He and his truck were covered head to toe in mud and he had the biggest smile on his face lol.

Jack Daw at Work

My fiancee and I were there from 2pm through 6pm.  It only rained from 4 to 4:30.  Not bad!
