Almost 10 and I'm still the only one in line...

First in line at the campgrounds...Been the only one here for an hour now...where are all my peoples!?

*sigh*  That is usually me.  Give it another hour or so...

Wasn't planning on leaving until tomorrow after noonish,  but after LadyJesicca's post this morning, I motivatedly got to work late after packing my gear in car, bought some firewood, fueled up, and am now waiting for my manager to leave so I can run away, fill up my ice chest at Spec's, and make my way to the campgrounds!!

Now if I could only concentrate on this here work for the next 5 hours....

Hector... looking forward to finally getting to meet you, also!  Sounds like you'll be there a lot earlier than we will... but we're hoping to make it in before noon, tomorrow, or maybe a little earlier, depending on how the drive goes.

Last year, Jess, Camp Fred people didn't show until almost 11am...

It really IS pretty snazzy...    I'm almost tempted to NOT set it up until everyone is already in camp, just so I can listen to all of the OOOOOH's and AAAAAAH's!  LOL  Well, ALMOST tempted!  I am looking forward to being able to relax after set-up, and collect on all of those LONG overdue hugs I've been waiting for!!!  I need LOTS of extras, to make up for these last three years...


I just had an awful realization a few minutes ago, when I went for a coffee run.  I reminded myself to take the cd's out to the van, so we would have all of our "road trip music" with us... but when I glanced at the console I remembered that THIS van is the one with the crappy stereo, and the CASSETTE DECK!!!  I soooo want my old van back... or, at least, the parts that worked really well! 

Soooo... no Jackson Browne to keep me sane (non-homicidal) while driving (sitting in traffic) between Huntsville and Conroe... and no Rob Zombie to keep me awake between Dallas and Huntsville... and nothing in between, except whatever we can find on the radio on the way down there... because you KNOW I don't have any cassettes anymore!   


Oh... whatever will we DO?!? 


Still... with both of the bench seats out of this van, it's like a cavern back there!  It's HUGE, and I'm not even sure what to DO with all that space!

Just about done with all the crazy stuff that needed to be done. Now all I have to do is go home, grab a quick bite and begin packing clothes and tons and tons of blankets because I couldn't find any of my hand warmers last night--I'm pretty bummed about that.

Other than that, I think we'll be okay.
