I was a bit bored, yesterday, and started listing all the stuff i'd need for TRF, this year...new boots (ouch)...new EZ-up(damn Rennado)...odds and ends...then i came to all the stuff i need for my Loki.  Grrrrrr.  All promises for various flavors have been voided.  It's not that i don't want to make them, it's that i can only make so many.  I have new flavors that i'm going insane over... and I'm sure that once you let some dribble past your lips, you'll have some new "favorites".  The ol' CHOCOLATE and Holiday aren't going anywhere... just taking a break for a season.    I'm still debating 4 or 5 batches... maybe BNB will make a comeback after it's "time off". 

Hi Fraser.  I meant to mention this last Friday but reality interceded.
I can't let 6 June pass by without thinking of your cousin.  I had a great cousin that survived the 3rd wave at Omaha.

Oh, I concur, MOST heartily!!!  Hell, it doesn't even have to have solid walls... a nice size tent will do, to start with!    heheh 


I would soooo much rather have a place to go and sit by a fire on a cool night, and have a simple supper with meade, ale or cider... telling tales, singing songs and being entertained by a wandering bard on occasion... than attend some fancy high dollar folly that feeds you finger food and domestic beer and wine at premium prices... and blowing all that money in one spot instead of spreading it amongst the merchants and aritsans who work so hard there during the day.  Give me the option of spending more OR less on my evening's entertainment... instead of charging me an exorbitant amount just to get through the door, and then charging even MORE after 11pm, if I want to continue eating or drinking!!! 


Maybe someone needs to invest in a large walled tent for the campgrounds, and turn it into just such a place...

An open sided, rough sawed log pavilion... three large fire pits down the middle...canvas sheets, for sections of outside walls, for if/when it gets cold.  Heck...set up a small bar and sell mead and beer (but don't gripe when one of us rolls a keg in the door.). 

Set it up in the wooded section... the one they just opened behind the old Negatives area.

Maybe I did raise a good kid... My son, knowing I had lost my EZ-up to the Rennado, went and got me a new one for Fathers Day!
