reworking my own armour and I discovered- I am completely lacking many key components and materials, and have no idea where to get them >.<

Need to figure out a clasp system that will anchor the fur cloak to my armour so it doesn't slide up and strangle me, need to finish the seax I am making for Tiff, I WANT to put decorative helm plaques on my helmet, but no idea if I'll have time, and I am still sorting out pauldrons and such. Blarghwaffles.

Anyway, 4am rambling done. Night!

Just ordered some new garb which should get here before opening weekend.  Need to add a few trims here and there once I get it, then I'll be ready!  YAY!!!  Not as stressed by the countdown, now

Taking my boots on their first trial run...so far, most comfortable ren boot I've worn.   

Talked to my brother, Laird Nasty, and he's amped.  We'll be toasting the 40th anniversary, Thursday morning, October 23rd, by dawns early light.

We seem to have mostly survived this latest bout of plague around here... so far.  Still a couple of family members battling it, but none of them seem to have had it as badly as my mom and myself... thank goodness!  This weekend was a pleasant surprise, with temperatures in the 70's and very low 80's!  We're usually still pegging the upper 90's, at least, this time of year.  Of course, it's jumping back up there for tomorrow and the next day, but the rest of the month looks to be extremely nice!  Almost freakishly so, for us...

Now the clock is spinning fast and so much to do yet so little time.  It doesn't seem like we started this countdown over two months ago...

Wore my faire boots when I went out Saturday night and they still fit like a charm--they're a little loose around the calves, but I'm attributing that to shaping up my calves in the past couple of months or so. Either way, yay!

Again, I feel so unprepared, but I think I'll manage...

Now is the time when I generally start getting all RENvious of all of you who will be heading toward the gates in just barely over a month's time... and moaning and whinging about not being able to get down there.  We're supposed to vend at a small event later this month, though... and if I can manage to sell a lot of stock that weekend, then maybe I can figure out a way for us to make a very tightly budgeted trip down.  I'm not going to count on it, though... because it's still a possibility that the event could be canceled at the last minute, and even if it's not there might not be enough of a turnout to make any real sales. 

So we (Miss Scally and myself) would really appreciate it if all of you would send us lots of "awesome sales" energy for the weekend of Sept. 27-28, please!    Can't possibly hurt... right?

(sigh)  The "item" to my immediate left when I am sitting at the computer is always... the guinea pig, Scruffy.  And for some stupid reason it is ALWAYS the item on the left.  They never seem to ask about the item on the RIGHT... which is actually a cutlass.  It lives in the umbrella stand...
