I realized yesterday that by the end of the year, I may be an empty-nester. Eldest child is married, Middle child plans on leaving once her schooling is finished this summer, and Youngest child has longed to be gone for years, and had only moved back home when a family situation arose. Hokie smokes -- what happens next?? How intriguing

Intellectually, I feel like I could use a nice cry. Not long, not dramatic, just cleansing and cathartic. Emotionally, the prospect holds no appeal whatsoever.  Honestly.
