A new Doublet for Lord Steven Buchannan. After tearing apart the Royal Coffer's Tunic I redid last year, I decided to just start from scratch. The other was just not going to work as I had hoped.

So What the heck!!!  I had this Waverly fabric I ordered last year that I just love, and went to town in lless than 3 days. Ia lso fashioned a Black Velveteen Italian Bonnet to go with the Doublet with plumes of Burgandy, Gold, and White.(not shown)

I love this doublet. I just can't quit looking at it.  ;D

It arrived in yesterday's mail, and it is even more incredible in person.  Steve tried it on last night, fits like a charm (of course it would, Lady K made it!), and he looks fantastic in it.  Going to Bristol tomorrow both wearing our noble garb made by Lady K, so I will take lots of pictures.

I wouldn't have a problem with you using my images. However, some people on this board make garb for their business. Their images are probably copyright protected and you would need very specific permission to use them.

We went to Bristol last Sunday wearing our noble garb.  Of course, we're having a problem with our new computer and getting pictures to post, which will hopefully be resolved when our computer guru son Tony comes home today for a week's visit (yea!  can't wait to see him after 7 months).

We're strolling along when who walks past us but the Lord Mayor.  And what is he wearing?  A sleeveless long vest-type thing (I don't know what they are called) made out of the same fabric!  So my first thought was "We are in good company!"

He walked past us without saying a word.  I expected nothing else.

My venetian gown, finished at the eleventh hour at Pennsic:

Thanks so much for all your help. Special shout-out to Sealion and her sleeve attachment technique - thank you SO much!

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.
