Rumy and I will be at TRF every single weekend except Roman Bachannal when we're going to LARF.  We'll be camping with friends in their camper, though no idea where exactly.  Maybe after this weekend we'll have a better defined area to camp in...

You can find me every day at 11:45 right in front of Lord Randolph's Chain mail booth getting ready for the parade. As well as after the parade, I will be in the fashion show at 12:30 then at the tree for pictures after. I also can be found out by "The Wee People's " shop off and on during the day.

Rumy and I were actually talking yesterday about how TOTALLY excited we were to see our Kitty Kat EVERY single weekend!!!  Yeah and kisses and hugs and WE LOVE U...

We'll look for you this weekend for sure and definetely definetely want to hang at night too... there's a swing calling our name.. hehe!

So...what's the deal with Lord Randolph's Chain mail booth, parade and fashion show??  I never seem to get to actually see it or the crowd - somebody will just walk by in a wicked-awesome chain mail outfit, and someone else will say, "Oh...she's from Lord Randolph's fashion show...(nod, nod, wink, wink)".

I feel we are getting left out of something important here...

So many people to say hello to. Look for an old phart wearing a kilt and slinging a crooked staff. Dyed my hair and beard auburn to match the Scottish theme (thank you Preference by Laurel as there isn't a man's hair color available).

Just yell out "Hi ya Mike" or "Hi ya Laird MacKinlay".

It's Wednesday night. Trailer is almost packed. My dogs know something is up when the trailer is in the driveway and they go to the kennel for the weekend.

I won't be checking any boards in the morning, as I have a bunch of things to do before I hit the road to pass through Houston just after the 9 AM rush hour. If you see a gray Ford F-250 hauling a MaxLite trailer going up I45 up to SH1488 around 10 AM, honk three times to say hello.

I'll be around row 2 or 3 along the road.

Doubt I'll sleep well tonight. Probably get up early to finish packing. I hope to see ya all this weekend.

So...what's the deal with Lord Randolph's Chain mail booth, parade and fashion show??

Lord Randolph's chain mail booth will let you wear there Chain mail from opening till about 3:30 pm Sat and Sun. All you have to do is go up to the shop and say I would like to wear some of your fine Chain mail today and they will tell you the rest. (you have to leave your ID with them the whole time.) You walk in the parade with them and then come back to the shop for the rest. It is alot of Fun I have been helping out and doing this for about almost 10 years I think, It is so much fun!

There is a Show that is put on at booth 22. Chainmail fashions. Lord Randolph is the owner and creator of the wonderful Chainmail that we all wear. After the parade we head back to the booth about 12:25-12:30 and we then put on a show. We dance, and shimmy, and spin and not in the most modest of ways. It is an adult show. 

It takes place on a balcony about 11 feet up so that everyone can see and we rotate through the dancers from most clothed to least clothed. It is all fun and all volunteer based. So anyone over 18 can join (unless there is parent consent). You do however get to the shop before 11 am to be able to dress in the chain and be a part of the show that day. It happens to be quite a bit of fun and quite thrilling to get up there in front of all those people and show 'em what you've got.

The show is not in any programs it is simply something that Lord Randolph does because he can. So come watch and cheer us on right after the parade.

Oh, also, immediately after the show all of the dancers file down to what is called the Naked Tree out in front of the shop for a Photo Op. Quite a few hang around for that as well.

(FYI. I think this year might be different due to some of the fairs now having a week or so before TRF now because of Thanksgiving weekend pushing fair back, but normally first weekend dancers is reserved for those who own the Chainmail they dance in. Lord Randolph has part of his inventory at another fair or in transit to TRF and does not have enough to dress everyone and still have product.)
