Vigilante... Lol, good one.

Last time i checked... hold on, let me go back and check what i said...

Oh, yeah!  I talked about helping the police, on site.  I guess in an Obama world, pulling out your cell phone, calling the cops when you see a thief is being a vigilante... by letting the "dark side" know that their are people about, and watching, that won't stand for that kind of BS in our camp.  I never implied anything violent happen.  The Order is about helping the helpless... you know, escorting drunken fools back to their home clans, watching a woman's back while she takes a piss at the Church of the Blue Water, breaking up stupidity before it becomes a drunken brawl... keeping an eye on our fellow Rennie's property. Vigilante... LOL.    I call it C.I.A.... Chivalry In Action.  THAT is what The Order is about.

I thought i defended what The Order stood for, last year, when members of a different Clan attacked us and what we stood for?     History repeats itself... from my own clan.

The Order doesn't answer to any one Clan... we are Clanless but members of ALL clans.

But was it George who cut Charlie lose, or was it the New head of Security. I was just on the Beefeaters page and it looks like this guy not getting along well with others. This new guy is NO Bill Pendlly. It may be we had a clash here, and George sided with the wrong lot.

Let's get a few facts straight out in the open Fraser as it seems that doing this in private in the past hasn't worked.  The Order of Culloden Moor is not and has never been an order to protect, escort or act as a Guardian Angel to anyone.  The Order was MacKee's inception, copywright and cost and you and LD were brought in as members.

The scope of The Order is to give remembrance to those who were lost during The Battle of Culloden.  It is not and never will be a vigilante/guardian group.  Posting on R/F in such a way gives the impression that it is.

By posting such statements on the forum you have given cause to at least three possible scenarios:

1) The message that The Order is some kind of police force and gets the attention of the REAL police and/or faire officials and brings unwanted attention.

2) People buy into it and the next thing we know people are bugging The Order to help them remove drunks or do something about a pissed off boyfriend, etc.

3) The wrong people buy into it, get drunk and then, to prove a point, go out of their way to start sh*t with The Order.   


All bad.

Do not broadcast that The Order is there to protect anyone.  If a lady asks someone for an escort back to a camp; that is fine and is at the discretion of the individual member.  But advertising The Order as anything else is asking for trouble.

Anyone that has a lick of sense and a love for their neighbor will call the police on someones behalf.  Don't try that angle with this.

I will have to argue with you on this as The Order was never brought to anyone's attention until AFTER MacKee and I thoroughly discussed it.  No one was brought in until after that.

Really? I guess I wasn't there last year when Fraser, LD, and Mac talked about all the order business and how it was discussed that they were the founding members.  I now leave the Order as this is definitly not why it was started.

There is a new General Manager. I'm sure it's just a coincidence but there were also office firings on Friday also. As a vendor, that has the potential to affect me way more than camp security.

And by the way, that conversation was months after the initial conversation MacKee had with LD.

Umm, the "new" guy isn't new at all. It's Chapman Baber, one of Bill Pendley's oldest and closest friends, who he PERSONALLY recommended for the job after he retired. Chapman has been with festival security and a police officer for Todd Mission for quite some time. And as far as the Beefeaters are concerned, they're just pissy because Chapman won't let them get away with thier juvenile BS anymore.

Oh, and one last thing? George personally fired Charlie and Mike. CHAPMAN HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
