Queen Margaret

Royals and nobles are NOT eligible in this one. You...yes YOU! Over there. Hanging out in front of your computer reading this. Tell Queen Margaret this: WHO is your favorite resident of Scarborough Village?

I love them all, but a few stand out:

1. Roger Collins, dockworker. Roger Collins is probably one of the weirdest and funniest of our locals. If Cheech Marin, Steven Wright and Christopher Lloyd combined DNA, Roger Collins would be the result. Listen closely. You don't want to miss a thing. This majesty is a Roger Collins fan.

2. The Cannon Crew: SRF's cannon crew is to SRF what Stadtler and Waldorf are to The Muppet Show.

3. The Gypsy King: okay, he's not really a villager, but he and his vitsa live nearby. The Gypsies (or Gyptians as we call them) are all delightfully nutty and you would actually want to take them home to meet your mother. Briefly.

4. Gertie Lowe, Lowest of the Lowes and professional grovellor. This woman grovels and is a talent extraordinaire. Her calling card is a spot of mud on the end of your nose.

5. Lord Chesterfield: SRF's newest of the town council slime buckets. Just follow the slug-trail and you'll find him. He's fabulous!

Okay, so...that's my top 5. Who are YOURS?

Gertie is definitely a favorite!

Mad Owyn Fisher is one of our favorites, we chat with him nearly every weekend.

Fauna Follywoll, she is so colorful and cheerful and friendly. And I only just learned she is an R/F'er and that there is a Mr. Follywoll.

Jack Parker, Bosyn of the Mary Rose because we work at the same mundane company so I always look for him and see what he's up to.

Do the Tarts count as commoners or a stage act? If they don't count as commoners, I'd have to go with Donk the Jester. Every weekend he tells me to hold on to my husband so he doesn't run away. Makes me smile every day!

Mine has to be the Troll girl, I know her as Amanda.

Then the entire Noobler crew.

Mad Owen Fysher--- funny, plus he awarded me the title of "Center of All Evil" a couple of years ago one morning before cannon... a title I proudly enjoy

Dougal Falkirk --- always entertaining... and who doesn't love a Scotsman

Isabeau de la Marck --- a lovely lady and a good friend

Donk

and it goes without saying that of all the faires I've visited, our Royals are the absolute TOPS!

-Lord Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk:  I've sat & talked with him a few times & he's a wealth of knowledge & a very nice man to boot.

-Don Alejandro Patricio Arancibia Vergara, Baron of Castille (I hope this is the right guy.  I'm awesome with faces but terrible with names):  One of the best swordsmen and combat people in general I've ever seen.  I always look forward to seeing what he's doing in the chess match every year.

-Jonathan Tumbler, Merchant Captain:  Another great combat/fight guy & (to be honest) he's kind of cute too.  A girls got to have her eye candy!

Isabeau is a French Noble. Charles Brandon is an English Noble. Don Alejandro is a Spanish Noble. They can't be counted among the Villagers. They're nobles.

BUT...they ARE excellent. If someone starts a "favorite noble" topic, Charles, Alejandro and Isabeau can be counted.

Queen Margaret

Star Chamber is right. Nobles are not counted in this topic. Villagers are the commons that make up the Scarborough "home" population. The common people (music cue: Fanfare for the Common Man).

The Nobility are traveling with King Henry, Queen Anne and/or Queen Margaret. Anybody addressed as lord or lady is nobility.

We hear about the nobility and royalty all the time. This time, we're givin' up to the VILLAGERS! WOOT! (sound cue: crowd going wild)

...but the nobility does ROCK!!!!!

The Tarts are common. Donk is in a class by himself. He is a member of Queen Margaret's court inasmuch as he "belongs" to me. So he's not common, noble or royal. He's a pet. No seriously. That's where he would have fallen.

And oddly...that makes sense...*shudder*

I'm gonna have to agree with Her Majesty....Roger is awesome.  He's always there to watch our backs (and our horses' rears) when we need him.
and little Robin Bartlett is awesome too.  He's such a big help at the jousts.  Thank you to whoever released him to us to borrow!!
Really I enjoy all of the villagers who stop by the tilt field to say hello throughout the day.

Apologies Queen Margaret.  In my puny little non-noble brain anyone other than you, VIII, Queen Anne or the Duchess are 'everyone else'.

-I have to add Mad Owen Fisher to my list.  I can't even describe him to people, but in a good way.

-Delia from the House of Tarts

-Magnus Krane.  He liked my vampire tee so he's good in my book!

-Joan Humble:  Best Chess Match fights.  My DD was actually worried the first week that she had actually lost a tooth.  Scrappy & funny.  I love her character!!

Queen Margaret

Honey, if you know the villagers by name and how to spell them, your brain is ANYTHING but puny! You've been paying attention! A+!

Do the members of the Royal Guard count Your Majesty?  Cause if they do....my list just got longer

You give me waaaaay too much credit Your Majesty.  That is what Ye Olde copy and paste is for.  And I'm still not positive I got the right Italian noble.   ;D

*Teach*

For me, the fantasy members of the village are always a treat
The Trollop Rhianna is always a delight to visit
Noobler is hilarious and a true artistic soul
Widdershins the leprechaun cracks me up every time I talk to him
Twig is just wonderful on many levels but watching the looks on childrens faces on meeting her is the best.

And... Dan the bartender (or whatever his name is this week) has become a man to visit everytime for the variety of drinks he finds and creates
