I normally go to PARF on Saturday but the weather was calling for 80% t-storms, so I went on Sunday (yesterday). It turned out to be a gloriously sunny day for the Pyrate Invasion. I brought the 41" RC pirate ship. At 5 PM I returned everything back to the van, and once stowed, I returned to the Shire for one last privy stop. Looking up, a B-24 Liberator bomber was flying slowly over the Faire below the clouds, which were lit from underneath by the late afternoon sun. I stood transfixed in the parking lot as 2 of my favorite interests melded together in a Kodak moment. I had warm fuzzies all the way home.

Here's a familiar airship from the other day.  An hour earlier you couldn't even see it as the fog was so thick.

As the various blimps fly up and down the Mid-Atlantic region, they moor at the New Castle County Airport in Delaware. Coming from the south, they fly up the Chesapeake Bay to the Elk River, then cross Maryland to get to the NCC Airport. Waching one of these drone up the river at about 100 feet off the water is awesome.
