Oh, I'm not playing the Dresden RPG. I'm playing http://raith-wraith.livejournal.com in a very very free-form set up with a few people.

I think Thomas slips into it intentionally. He seems to do a lot of things to stereotype in a very tongue-in-cheek sort of way. Buffy t-shirt? :D

Toot-Toot freaking rocks! :D

I also kind of like Maeve. In a way. Except not like...buddy way. Just...she's cool.

Hellfire was a gift from Laschiel when he still had her shadow in his head.  Soulfire just sorta "popped up" during his fight with Thorned Namshiel in Small Favor.

Actually, they're right. Soulfire came from the archangel Uriel meddling in Harry's life.

Another reason I don't care for it. It's just something from the other end of the spectrum and not something Harry gets real control over. Urlel could take it away if/when he thinks he doesn't need to give Harry access to it anymore.

I stand corrected...I re-read the end of SF and had forgotten JB explained it.  My bad!  ::)

I like to think Harry's getting all this..."stuff" cuz he's been chosen to handle the oncoming war, not because he's meant to keep any of it, but because he's sort of picked as the Champion...or whatever.

I also like that the books aren't overly "Good vs Evil" but more of a "Lesser of two evils" kinda thing.

you guys gonna get the graphic novel the coming out with. Its called welcome to the jungle

Yep. It's already coming out in separate issues of comics but there'll be a full book of them when its done. There's also a novelette from Thomas' pov coming out this fall called Backup. I've already got it pre-ordered. Hee.

Scribe_Wear

Welcome to the thread, Tia!  :D

Unfortunately, there's not much action here between books.  :(

I just finished Feist's "Conclave of Shadows" series and am looking forward to a trip downstate to load up on any of the other series I read. (there's no real bookstore up here so I hit Barnes and Noble whenever I'm downstate)

No worries, I'll keep my self preocupied...I have been catching up on Harry's antics Via LuLu TV on Myyearbook.com

Greetings fellow Dresdenites!!! Turncoat...I enjoyed it but I do feel that Mr. Butcher sorta left out some characters that we have come to love. It several hundred pages into the book and starting to wonder if he had forgotten all about Bob. Even after he arrived we only saw a little of him. Did anyone else notice this about other characters as well or am I being a bit picky? I will admit that I tend to get that way with all of my favorite series.
