Pflixbourg--what a marvelous setting for a kids adventure novel!  ;D  Who could resist that dark opening!

Yay...thanks for including a Hungarian castle.   :)  Would love to see more of them (Buda, Vajdahunyad, Füzér, Sárospatak, Eger, Diósgyör, Esztergom, Visegrád, Sümeg).  There are just SO many of them.   ;D

Girsberg Castle in France.
Not much remains, but Girsberg Castle is one of the 3, so-called, Ribeauvillé Castles. The others are; St. Ulrich Castle, which is opposite and within viewing distance and Haut-Ribeaupierre Castle, which lies further up the mountain.

There are said to be only two known images of Vlad Tepes... that's one, the other is a woodcut, I believe.
