Castle MacLellan in Scotland.
MacLellan's Castle stands on the site of the convent of Greyfriars in the centre of Kirkcudbright. Sir Thomas MacLellan acquired the site nine years after the Reformation Act of 1560. MacLellan was an important man in the local community who held the position of Provost of Kirkcudbright between 1576 and 1597. He used the old convent as a source of stone to construct his new castle.

Nipozzano Castle in Italy.
Because the wine is so popular in Italy, I had a hard time finding pictures of the castle itself.
Wine production takes place in the castle cellars.

Chateau de Wineck in France.
A picturesque ruin among vineyards, a local ongoing restoration project has made the castle
accessible to visitors.

Beaupre Castle in Wales.
Quite a bit of this Norman castle survives because it was maintained as a Tudor Manor house.

Don't forget to smell the roses, but watch out for the thorns!

Montemignaio Castle in Italy.
The Guidi built the castle, formerly known as 'Castel Leone' or simply 'Castiglione', which remained under control of the noble family up to the revolt of Castel S.Niccolò.

Deganwy Castle in North Wales.

There is very little left of the castle except the foundations and some partial walls.
The original construction appears to have been Late-Roman to Post-Roman
