Not for me it's not.  :D  I appreciate you unearthing all these images for us!  :-* Just wish I had time/money/energy to visit most of these places.  :-\ Would make a wonderful trip--and a wonderful travel book.  Alas, my life is full of limitations.

By NO MEANS, this is the first thread I check out when I hit the forum. I love this, this is GREAT. Thank you for doing it.

I have to agree that this is far from boring. I love coming here and checking out the new castle each day.
Please continue!

I enjoy this thread. It is amazing how many castles  there are in the world, and how some of them have stood for centuries untouched by  nature, while others are just remains of walls or towers.

Festung Kufstein in Austria.
Festung Kufstein is a massive fortification dating from the mid 12th Century, although the only main part from this period surviving is the Upper Castle Barracks and these were heavily reconstructed.

Cnwclas (Knucklas Castle) in Wales.
Well folks, there ain't much there. But if you're looking for castles most people haven't heard of. This one fits the bill.
Except for the fact that according to Welsh tradition, this castle was the home of King Ogrfan Gawr (the Giant) of Castell y Cnwclas, who was Guinevere's father. Yes, I mean that Guinevere.

Castillo de Olite in Navarra. Also known as the Castle of the Kings of Navarre.
The castle was built by King Carlos III of Navarra and was his summer residence until his death in 1425.
