Well we received a wee bit of rain last night.  Though I don't think it made enough of a dent.

You know, I was working in Houston and came home last night;  I saw SO many lightning flashes on my way out of texas, and I really hoped that some of it went that way.
I would take a dark, stormy, wet pirate weekend with a huge grin if it meant fires for christmas....

:)
oops.

Bonny Pearl

Ironically.... I looked at the 10 day forecast and well...... on Pirate Weekend we could see some gulley-air mattress surfing at camp again lol!

I'll see if I can dig up a pic from last weekend of that.

Well I'll be a purple a...yeah.

That's great.  I welcome it with open arms.  I only hope that the flood is sufficient for a FIERY XMAS!
oops.

FaeHollow

Please say it will be friday night surfing and not sunday afternoon surfing. I don't know if I can spend a week cleaning garb again. I finally gave up and threw my shoes in the dryer.

Looks like you are in luck Fae!  The forecast has changed to Partly Cloudy.  How many more times it will change between now and Pirate weekend is anyone's guess, especially for the weather 'experts' lol.  :D

What a twist!

Now we're looking at 0% chance of rain for the 10 day forecast!
oops.

KiltedPrivateer

Not really unusual.  The weather forecast has been known to change at least five times before heading to camp on Thursday night and several more before opening cannon on Saturday morning.  And if opening weekend is any example, I believe the forecast on my phone was 30% scattered showers.  Yeah, apparently they meant 100% rain with scattered light rain for 30% of the day (o:

Just out of curiosity, have there been any fires or smoking in the campgrounds so far, and how has it been handled?
