So glad to hear from you Festmum,  thank the Goddess you and the other inhabitants are all alive.

I'm still sitting at the house with no power either, roughing it as it were.  We are suposed to get it back today, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh the stories to tell when we're together again.
I won't be going anywhere.  I'm staying and helping with the cleanup.  My home has lots of damage that will need repaired but it is liveable.  Still no power or water except what I draw with a bucket.  Gives me an excuse to get into the sea everyday, though.  Many have left but it looks like they plan on starting to have visitors on the island by next month.  Will be nice to earn money again as I'm spending approximately $120 a week on gas for the generator.  (At least I HAVE a generator!)

Another system is brewing to the south of us.  We're all holding our breaths and hoping it dies.  Seas are a little rough and winds are back today.

Well, I'm off to find a ride so that I can have a flat fixed.  Then to get gas, food, and maybe a cold libation if I can find one!

So, I'm sitting here at the office and my phone rings, it's playing "The Phantom Of The Opera", so I answer as I always do when that song plays "Hello Beautiful", it's the wife, and she is crying on the other end of the phone.  "Babe", she says through the tears                    "WE'VE GOT POWER"!!!!!!!!!!  ~does a little happy dance~  I can sleep in air conditioning again tonight after being without power since 11:30 PM on Friday September 12.
