Lady K, I can only aspire to make something so beautiful.  I can't wait to see the finished gown!

The situation has gone from urgent to critical, I really need some good news.

Thank you everyone. The beads are glass. But this particular forepart and sleeves are going to be worn indoors only.

There will be a permanent forepart and sleeves set that I will wear for  outdoor use. So this forepart will be pinned onto the new forepart. The underskirt is going to be made of a nice, Cotton Bottom weight, which will give support.

The sleeves and forepart I whipped up yesterday is a deeper Gold Diamond pattern I had in my stash. I used Velveteen to make a strip in the bottom edges of the forepart and sleeves, then a single strip of the Frames trim with the companion trim, using the same beading design as with what you see.

Photos will be posted when I get the underskirt done.

Gramercy, molly!

The 2nd set of Forepart and Sleeves to go with the ensemble I am making that I will wear out of doors at Renaissance Festivals as to not get my other set dirty.

I had some Gold Diamond designed Decorator weight fabric in my stash I bought a few years ago for a Pirate vest for Lord Kindle. This sat in my stash, so I decided to use it. How rich the color is against the Blood red of the velveteen, trims, and pearls. I have to finish these as well. They are just serged edges and pinned on for show. I have a 2nd jeweled belt as well. It's coming together.

This brooch features my inspirational portrait of Mary of Hungary.  The flash makes the ribbon appear too purple.

The choice of jewelry and the Brooch are perfect, Irma.

Huzzah!   :)

Loving both of these outfits!  The second set of sleeves and forepart are perfect for faire, Lady K..I can't wait to see pics of both sets once you get a chance to wear them.
Irma-I have brooch envy....where did you get that, or did you make it?  Gosh that outfit is so rich looking ^_^.  I love it!

I'm currently working on a Mirida gown for my grandaughter.  Grandpa all ready has a quiver to go with it.  Her hair is naturally curly and waist length.

Rowen MacD:  The brooch is the result of an idea from Pinterest.  Then I found a vendor on etsy who assembled it for me using the image I sent to her.  The dome is some sort of synthetic, but there is probably a source for a more upscale crystal cover.  This project has taken on a life of its own.  Just when I think I am done, I find some other little thing I must add.   ;D

That's the best kind!! (And better than the projects where you find things you must add WELL BEFORE you are anywhere near done...)

Quite a ways along on a doublet gown for my wife. Sewed the arm holes, collar and front together. These photos are after "bagging out" and before pressing.

Lovely, iain!

There's something about Diamond designed fabric that screams out.....EMBELLISH ME!  :D

Iain, that doublet looks great!  Can't wait to see it as a dress.

Centeries, what is this going to be as a finished project?  It looks great!  I wish I had the patience and manual dexterity to hand fully hand sew a project.
