If I could echo what Amy has just said I to am very happy for you and proud of you as well that you can finally go back to living a normal life again. Each post of yours that I have been reading recently just fills me with joy because I know that it was a long and sometimes painful road you had to travel just to get to where you are today. Let me be one of the first ones to say Huzzah to your progress and congratulations on your clean bill of health. Like Amy has said don't go overdoing it now cause that would not be a good thing especially now seeing how good you are doing. Anyway it's good to have you back to your old self again Rani.

Thank you, Lord W!  It will be a few more weeks until I'm completely myself again, but I'm shaking off the effects more every day, and I'm getting out and doing things again, and that only helps!

I finally get to go back to our drum circle here tonight, and I'm so excited!  I haven't gotten to go since I started the treatments, and that was in October, so it's been a while.  Drum a little... dance a little... these  things will help me get back to normal much faster!!!

Yes... it's wonderful to feel the rhythms flowing through my being like the very blood in my veins!  I'm getting there, and feeling better every day!!!  The circle last Friday night was very nice... small (only about 20 drummers), with a core group that usually mesh well, and tight enough that we gathered an audience in 45 degree weather!

I had a great time, then we all went down the street to a pizza joint called Sauced (I know, so corny it's cool, eh?) and listened to a local group called Pinky and the Snake Shakers...  They're lots of fun!  A great time was had by all, and I get to do it again every week!!!  I'm definitely ready for spring to arrive!!!

So good to see you returning to the world.  I've been working on steampunk queen Dame Daphne Dreadnaught, Lady Explorer, Zepellin pilotess, Time Traveler and Scientist.  She and Professor Snape will make their faire debuts on All Hallow's weekend at TRF.  The gun came together over the weekend and the goggle components have been gathered - just need to gather my oomph for a spray paint fest.

Oh,sweet!!! I want Steampunk garb, too!!!  She sounds like quite the zinger...  LOL  Can't wait to meet her!  Ever read Girl Genius?  Steampunk comics ROCK!!!

I'll be bringing all my drums to TRF, btw, as well as assorted and sundry percussion... so I hope you're up for some circle time!  Not the public one, though, unless it's been tamed since last season!  No reason we can't form our own circle, and be careful about who wanders into it...

You betcha'!!!  Wouldn't miss it for the world!  That's what initially drew me to the TX threads, was the TRF camping thread!  Sounds like my kinda party!!!  LOL  Not quite sure who I'll be camping with, but I have a few offers, and I'll be choosing one based on the circumstances of the moment...   

Do you camp, or hai for home at the end of the day? Because I hafta tell ya', you'll be needin' ta' come hang wit me in camp for a while, girly!!!  (wow... was I just channeling Sarah Palin?!? )

Oh, I love Jagers!!!  They crack me!  LOL  I wish I could get tho books, myself, but I  did get a kick out of reading them online, until I came to the end...  It's hard to wait two days for just one page, so I wait two weeks, then I have six pages to read!!!

I am a true child of my mother, whose idea of roughing it is the Ramada Inn.  I hie my hiney home at the end of the day - usually a little early because my night vision sux.  My son used to live out in that area & taught me the back roads, but ye gads, it's like the inside of a cow's stomach.

Do you read the devils panties?  She's heading to faire this weekend so she should have some good fodder for future strips.

Oh sweet!!!  I haven't read it in a while, but I love the strip!!!  Those grrrlies roar!!!

My nod to the comforts of home is my inflatable queen size air mattress and all my own personal bedding... including a pile of pillows!  I do love waking up to the sounds of the morning, but I don't like sleeping on the ground anymore, although I didn't mind it for years. I might even camp at Scarby this year, in whatever  that campground is not too far from there.  I guess there will be a few other R/Fer's there, so I won't be out there all alone.  Of course, I could just sleep in the mini-van. If I take the two back seat rows out I can put a twin air mattress in there and be nice and comfy...

I got caught up w/Girl Genius over the last coupla weeks.  The Jagerwomen were beautiful creatures & I believe I must be at least partly Jager because I have such an obsession for wowza hats.  I bought a Burda Victorian jacket/skirt pattern that made me think of Agatha's red suit.  My weekend project is a Victorian-ish corset - 'cause underpinnings are so important.  Then I can work on my steampunk suit.  Pattern:  http://www.burdafashion.com/en/Patterns/Main_Collection/7880_Historic_dress_%281888%29/1270778-1128998-1003047-1534296.html

Oh, stickysweet!!!  Gotta love the Victorian undies, they... do things to me!!!  Woot!!!    That suit is gonna be so gorgeous, woman... Can't wait to see it modeled!

Agatha is crazy cool, huh?  Wish she was a redhead, though, but I guess she couldn't really pull off the ditzy early days without the blond...  Don't read too fast, though, because once you come to the present days it's agony waiting for the next page, and they only put out three a week!!!     I was warned about this, and I still devoured it all unheeding, and now I wish I had slowed down!  What I get for being greedy, I guess...  Of course, everyone gets the same warning, and everyone ignores it, then they say the same to whoever they turn on to GG, also... 

I'm pretty good, and getting better by the day, although I've had to admit to myself that it's going to take more than three weeks to get back to normal.  Of course, it didn't help that right after treatment ended I had so many commitments to keep that I almost made myself ill all over again!  I've since slowed down a bit, but at least the drum circle is more relaxing than taxing, as long as I mostly play, and only dance a bit...    Every Friday night, though!
