Fraser, I didn't know you when you were younger, and more... impetuous ( )... but I believe the dignity you carry yourself with today would easily stretch to cover a short strut across a balcony armored in some of the rather impressively artistic, yet completely utilitarian pieces I've seen in the shop.  

But I can see that you're just not interested in such a public display, so I won't tease you about it anymore.    



I'll just have to use my imagination, I suppose...  




However... Mouse has CLEARLY volunteered to be in the chainmail show this year, so I will be expecting to see that patented "Mouse Dance" this AHE!!!

No dancing required... don't you remember last year when Rapier just kind of... strolled across the balcony... stopped, turned 360*, and then continued across and off the other side?  HE didn't dance, either!

LOL  Well, it seemed to work for the women watching, anyway...    They were cheering for more, and all day while he was wearing it he kept getting lots of second looks from them, and a few even came up to chat!   



Women like men in chainmail...  even if it's just a maille-covered leather bracer.  There's something about it that's just... sexy.

I have to get in even better shape for the job I was offered, which means by TRF I should be twice as buff as I am now. So, the problem isn't being embarassed by my body, it's the blinding light of my skin reflecting sunlight. Seriously, my albedo is comparable to the light from a blue-white giant reflecting off an ice planet

That being said, I will go barbarian on AHE, though whether I go near the chainmail show is entirely dependent upon the bribes I am given What? I'm a free-market operator, I do for the dough

Ok, so I'll be wandering through the campground with a donation jar...    And, uhhh... I'm already bringing Rapier chocolate chip cookies, so what's your particular weaknesses, Breandan, Crash?  What, besides cash, can I bribe you guys with? 


And, Crash... while I have seen the chainmail speedo (not ever a pretty sight, I promise you...), I have never seen it on anyone that looked anything less than incredibly uncomfortable, and for the chainmail show, you first have to walk the entire parade route in whatever you'll be wearing to dance across the balcony.  Talk about pinching!!!   

Of course... if you're into the pain, then by all means... wear what you like!    I'm sure I can recommend someone who can provide you with an excellent flogging at the same time!  Oh, and Randolf will let you walk around wearing the chainmail until 4pm, as long as you leave your driver's license at the shop while you have it on...
