Beautiful work!

Wow
I can finally post a finished project that I am totally proud of.
The pictures don't do it justice, it looks a lot better on.
I learned a ton while making this. Its the first time I've done anything this complicated and well finished.
I did it as a practice for making a justacorps for my pirate captain persona.

All the edges are finished with bias tape made of the same fabric (before this I didn't even know what bias tape was. I made the tape myself ) and the insides have the Hong Kong finish to the seams because it is unlined. (its south florida, I would like to be able to use more than a few times a year ;D  )

I'm still debating wether to put a button on the front to hold it closed or let it stay open all the time.

I like how you matched the fabric up where the seams are.  It is beautiful.

Oh, splendid! Huzzah!

I vote yes on the button, because even if you do leave it open, the button will be a nice finishing touch and a bit of bling. :)

Auryn

Thank you everyone.
It really means a lot coming from such talented folk.

I don't know what kind of button to use.
Wether to use a silver/pewter button or go more with a gold/bronze color to match the embroidery.

I am hoping that the puckering at the middle seam on the back will go away with a thorough ironing.

That is very pretty!  I am with Gem, a button would be a great touch even if you leave it open.
