I can spy a yummy pirate through the worst cyclone, volcanic explosions, & sea battles royale - it's a gift!  And since I consider pirates in general to be delicioso, well, they're almost all yummy.

Aye, beautiful work Taffy!
If you hadn't said you'd made it yourself I would've thought you had purchased it! It looks like a "damsel in this dress", to me! Gorgeous!

New early season garb for the little one. She actually fits the bodice better this year than when I made it last year. The rest is new: chemise, Scottish inspired dress, even made the dress belt.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with catsup.

Damsel in This Dress was my inspiration.  I started out to make just a pirate coat w/removeable sleeves, but the men's pattern I used (not being a petite thing) didn't take into account my lady humps (imagine that) so I tore it apart, made an interior bodice, resewed it, grommetted, etc.  I really like it, but it is hotter than the hinges of Hades.  IF (and that's a big IF) I ever do one again, the fashion fabric will be a nice silk for weight and swishiness.  The things you learn.

I love the toddler outfit - she looks so happy in it.
Sveethot!

Artemisia

Taffy, get out of my brain. That's exactly the style I want to make. Damsels is also my inspiration. Beautiful work, my lady.

You haven't had enough coffee unless you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.

Taffy...I love your coat!!

Hoowil...too adorable for words to describe!
