Yay, Tixi! I'm so glad you posted this, as I couldn't tell from the line drawings where exactly certain seams fall. But they fall where I want them to for switching it to a front lacing bodice with a placket.

The Bodice is finished and ready to go to the Shoe Repair this week for grommetting. I have the sleeves to do, get the Doubleet and hanging sleeves cut out, as well as the Riding Hat. 

I took a few days off this weekend due to not feeling well. Darn right knee acting up again. Photos will ensue.

The Purple Doublet that is in the works.  The fabric photographs blue, but it really is "in your face, hide from the Queen" purple.   

There will be sleeves and an overskirt to go with it as well.

I'm re-doing the trim on this gown that I had made, because the trim that came on it was GOD AWFUL!!! Shiny cheap metallic gold *shudder*

Hi everyone, I am  new here and back to sewing after 20 yrs. I fell in love with ren faires a long time ago and dressed up for the first time last fall at STL Pirate Fest and KC Ren Faire.  Had such a blast I knew I needed to make my own garb instead of putting together something makeshift out of the closet.  I have to say these forums are such an inspiration and very dangerous!!

This is nothing fancy and still have a lot of finishing to do. I didnt want to start with something elaborate right off the bat so I opted for something very simple to make sure I still remembered the terms lol.

Everyone is making such pretty things!  Right now I'm finishing a Victorian corset.  But I bought a bunch of cable ties to play with, so as soon as I get time, there's a garb project on the way!
