OK, so have any of you steampunk fans seen this new TV show called Warehouse 13 on the Syfy channel?  I seriously think it's very very steampunky...  All the gizmos and gadgets on the show look exactly like some of the steampunk stuff I"ve seen on here.  Especially the handheld live feed camera gizmo, and the computers and keyboards and the warehouse itself....  Ya'll should check it out for sure!!  It's shaping up to be a very fun new TV series indeed!

The HR Giger opening page looks like the gates of Mechanicsburg.  I saw the first episode of Warehouse 13 & fell in love with the communication devices - in glorious black & white, no less!

Yea, the day after it debuted we talked about it a bit here.  The raygun, the warehouse itself, the electrocar they scoot around the warehouse in, tons of stuff in there has SP appearances.

One of the key pieces of gear I've been searching for forever is a reasonably priced wristwatch that looks steampunk.  I have the obligatory pocket watch, but want something more interesting.  Most of the watches I come across are the ones that look really cool but cost THOUSANDS.  Has anyone found something of this nature?

Some of the Fossil brands?  Kohls carries some that are neat.

Go to Fossil.com, click on watches, mens, and then pick Leather as the band style.  One of them is this, Sun Dial at $55.00

My mother will be there with me for the Steampunk Invasion and I've convinced her to come in steampunk finery. I'd like to have her added to the steampunk badge list, please.

Okay, I was eding my last post, and it went *poof*....lets try that again.

Just a note and a suggestion to all those newly interested steam punk aficionados following/participating in this thread;  I came across something disturbing the other day while deleting a spammer off the forum.

The spammer had put key words in their signature line that were links to various porn sites.  Some of those words were "spunker", "spunking", and "spunk".  This particular word has a fairly well known meaning on the 'net, and it does not have anything to do with steampunk.  Calling yourself a "spunker" is not exactly cute/funny/tasteful as has been previously thought/used in this thread.  Apparently it's been used enough in this thread that it's starting to pop up alongside other sites that also advertise "spunkers/spunking", but in an entirely different light you probably don't want to be associated with.  Spunker, spunking, spunk, etc.  Just don't go there.

My suggestion is to remove any examples of the aforementioned words to keep potential problems at bay.

Dang pervs stealing our word for their debauchery.  Wonder if "S. Punker" catches grief too or if it's different enough to discourage non-renthusiasts.

Yeah, those dang pervs...  :P  Because you just know there would never be any of those here... in amongst us... suggesting we use words that might possibly get us to pop up (pun? What pun?!?) in freaky little search patterns all over the deviant globe!!!  :o  ::)  :D

For some Disney Edwardian costuming, Chitti Chitti Bang Bang is on.  I haven't seen this since it came out and recalled that I HATED it, but the motoring costumes are pretty.
