thank you Lady Gloriana, so now I need to go and inform everyone tagging along that we are leaving EARLIER than I originally planned. I am sure there will be lots of grumbles there

Amras and I (with Lady Guinness) usually arrive between 0800 - 0830 to "stake out" our spot. We set up tailgate close to the road in row #1. Easy to find, usually right accross from the privies half dressed or in various stages of dress. We will be the guys smoking cigars 

ok, well when we arrive, me and my husband will be in the handicap parking, so we will definitely keep a look out for you

ive told some of the people tagging along about the new early departure-between 7-7:30am to leave from delaware, and almost everyone is flipping out! lol

Just tell 'em if they don't like it, they can always drive themselves!

Because of cast obligations we have a tight time window for the group photo.

What do you mean by slope? Do you mean up on the benches that lead down to the stage? Do you mean on the /other/ side of the hill in front of the chapel? Over closer to the trees? Maybe someone needs to hold a sign!

Off to the side of the chapel ... we feel the grade will allow for a better photo. Plus if there is extreme sun or rain, the canopy there will allow some comfort.

Aye, you do have a point, there.  I do stand corrected. 

I recall a Labor Day weekend some years ago when it absolutely poured from Friday night to Monday evening.  The vendors were all digging ditches to keep the flood waters from entering their shops, Lake White Hart developed to near flood level (you know that spot down by the wall, right?!), the bands stood on the tables while the Aerial Angels did their thing under the canopy, and only the most devoted were in attendance.

We had a blast!  So yes, you are right.  Sometimes the "R" word, isn't such a bad thing. You know that old saying, "come Hell or high water...!"

I remember making the drive out there last year, during the monsoon.  Talk about a blast!  Even if I was drenched to the bone before even making it to the cloak shop.

The one weather event that i specifically stayed away from was the hurricane.  Hannah, was it?  I know folks went that day, but that was just too much for me.  That was the only weekend i missed that year.

Hannah weekend was great!!  What a blast we had!

I don't like to see the rain though... it really hurts the vendors.  We try to make rain days, the days we do our shopping with them.
